What Students Say
Likes
- The teaching is good. Every teacher I've met is good in their own respective subjects which makes learning more fun and interesting.
- The teachers are also friendly and frank which makes us feel more open to ask them about our doubts and share feedbacks.
- The college has around 5 canteens inside the campus which is good for us students because we don't have to eat outside the campus. The foods are surprisingly good there.
Dislikes
- As of now I don't have much to complain.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course curriculum a 9.5/10. I've always been interested in Psychology from high school. The curriculum provides a lot of opportunities to better ourselves in areas we lack. For examples, presentations, whether it is group or single, will help us in our future academic pursuits.
Internships Opportunities
I've only started my 1st semester here so I'm don't know much about it but the college does provide internship for the students. I am not sure what companies and roles are offered but I'm sure it's good.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'll be paying 39,700 and additional 10,020 for my minors and other courses like MDC, SEC, etc. for the 1st year. I paid 19,850 for my major Psychology, 1st Semester (lab fees included). My friends from Sociology department paid 20,040 for their 1st year. I haven't applied for any scholarships yet but there are scholarships available for students on different schemes.
Campus Life
My experience in the campus has been good overall. There are lots of clubs which students can apply for or audition for. We have sport matches every now and then at the college ground and anyone can watch the match. College weeks are super fun cause it lasts for half a month. We would have sports matches, cosplay days and we would have jam sessions etc.
Admission
I chose this college because they had the psychology course. I did my cuet but the results was taking too long to come out and the chances of me getting the marks I needed to get into the college I wanted was low so I opted for St. Edmund's. I wanted to study in Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi. Since Psychology was a newly opened department in St. Edmund's, it was a first come first serve.
Faculty
Faculty members of the college are good. Very approachable, kind and frank. The psychology, education, english and sociology are the ones I like as of now because I haven't met the other faculty members from other departments yet. Well so far they've shown how good they are at their own courses and they've made learning a fun and interesting experience. We have like 4 exams in every year which are the eternals and semester exams. The total internal marks are 25 and the semeste exams are 75.
