Mechanical branch is a coarse with never ending demand as it is a coarse branch .There may be some low value of demand but over a period it would be changed. Our coarse contains every modern day applications and the methods to solve the problem . though we have every thing that a engineer has to know but most of them are theory papers therefore we lack in practical experience. If every coarse provide practical experience then it would really help in understanding and practical application about the coarse. Our college conducts 3 internals at regular intervals and the questions are selected from the question bank which is set by faculty containing 36 questions from each module.This include important university questions and include entire syllabus.

In last 2 and half year oru mechanical department has got 1 internship and 2 add-on courses.The add on coarse where about java and robotics . internship was provided by the College to a local company in locality where production lining and manufacturing were tought. The company was a toy making company where the complete procedure of material selection, production lining, moulding package and delivery were explained .

Our College provide campus placement training during third year. Various companies comes during campus placement like Amazon byjus ,fingertipplus technologies HCL ,cerner, UST ,global aspire and lot many.campus placement provided packages of 1.2 to 9 lakhs per annum. The lowest package providing to a student is 1.2 lakhs per annum.Many students have got a package of 9 LPA.All the students who have successfully completed the course without any back papers where provided packages by companies.And the students who have written all the back papers before the campus placement were given placements by many companies.My future plans after completing the course is to apply for the campus placement offers and at the same time to follow up my dream to be a part of the Indian army.

In oru college all the beaches has to pay 97000 for each year .For the students having more than 90% in 12 th standard oru college provide scholarship in management seats.For the Government seats students oru college does not provide any fees consideration but the students belonging to EWS have fee wavering, the government provide 75000 . Also the students belonging to EWS category have fee wavering in hostel rent and mess .The College also provide scholarship for those students whose parents are working in defence sector or ex-military.

Our college conducts arts day ,spots day tech festand onam celebration every year .Arts sports and onam celebration are organised by Student of third year while the tech fest is organised by forth yera students. Every year the onam is celebrated during the odd semester it is the first function that is organised by the 3rd years student, during the month of September the onam is celebrated and the last onam celebrations name was tandavam . While the tech fest , arts and sports are conducted in even semester .Every year our tech fest is named tantra. Our college library has a variety of books history,cultural , coarse wise and novels.Every students Can rent any book for prefered time with out any payment. Our college only gives permission for few events sports day is one of the most important events where different sports events are conducted and the students who have participated in university level are honoured. Every year has their own social media platform to communicate with themse.

Hotel room is little congested space where 4 students are made to stay where as it Is made for 3 students.while other factors like cleanness and safety is better compared to many of the other hostels. Oru mess menu is not that bad but having the same menu in every week make it booring.But the hygiene in the mess is pretty well .mess bill for comes around 3600-3800 per month and the hostel rent is 11000 per semester.

I had taken admission in this College through NRI quata as I could not attend keam examination.This college was prefered by a colleague of my mother . My whole family was convinced by the accademic brilliance.students can take admission in our college by marks obtained in keam exam , they get alloted by fulfilling the criteria .For the students who get denied from government seat will have the opportunity to get admission through management seat . The students joining through management quata get many scholarship opportunities, the only eligibility for the management seat is to qualify keam exam . If a student failed in keam exam or did not attended keam can join through NRI quata .All the students except scholarship or EWC scheme will have the same fee structure .

In mechanical department we have 30 students in my batch , therefore the classes are very attentive and every students get equal opportunity.The teachers are very kind and loves while asking doughts. Oru tutor Mr dilin is my favourite faculty in oru department, he takes the toughest subject which is thermal engineering but the way he takes class and interact with us makes very intresting and easy. Mr shaji in oru department is the one who I personally dislike . Though he takes a theory subject he only uses slides and just read out the slides which makes it very boring. Our college conduct 3 internal exams at regular intervals. In every exam almost 85% students clear exams. Oru college comes under APJ ktu , every semester has 8 coarse ,in which the cos are specifically mentioned. All the branches have their own co's and Po's which specifies their duties and responsibilities.
