What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure is very good and well maintained.
College is very clean and there are many parks to walk in the Evening.
There are always some events going on in the college.

Dislikes

Attendance system is very strict and have to maintain 75% attendance.
Some subjects are not necessary but effect our cgpa.
There 8s no screening process during the time of admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is normal good but there are some subjects that makes no sense. They are just to increase credits. Subjects like general proficiency that is done mostly online. And syllabus of some subjects is same for many years it needs updation.

Placement Experience

Placements starts from sixth semester. Students are free to register as per company eligibility criterion. Companies like Amazon, jp Morgan, Flipkart, dbs, Watchguard, and many more comes for recruitment. From 7th semester on an average we get atleast one company per day.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution Fee is 95000 per semester + 2500 exam fee per semester. Total fee 97500 per semester. Annual fees becomes 195000. There is a test for scholarship. I got 40% scholarship. Scholarship amount is 38000 per semester. 76000 per year.

Campus Life

Annual fest of our university is CUFEST. It comes around end of March. And many events always keeps happening. There are many libraries from where you can borrow books on your library cards. There are clubs and societies run by students with the help of teachers as advisors.

Admission

The college provides wide range of courses in every field. And advertisement team of our college is very good. There is variety of courses in cse like aiml , iot, big data, biotechnology, csbs, etc. and also general cse.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is preety good. Some teachers are strict but most of them are helpful and friendly. And exams happens almost every month. First mid sem held 1 month after starting of classes. Then after 2 3 weeks practical mst then after a week mst 2 then a month later final mst and then final examinations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
