Remarks

College management is making this more of a commercial deal than educational. Seems like Jaypee group is in some serious crisis.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Highly irrelevant I'd say without even thinking for a moment. A semester is hardly 5 months long, inclusive of all the holidays and mid-semester vacations. And an examination structure that oversees three shifts, T1, T2, and T3 seems a bit too hard on the students in a time span this short. There's no time to gather and regroup. It's like a 4x100 meter baton relay, with just one runner.

Placement Experience

4

Comparatively better than anything in the college. The placement process I think is transparent and fair since I myself did not appear.

College Events

1

Bizarre sounds a word too decent to describe this. If you're a Hindu, classes might get canceled for a week when its Holi and Diwali but no one would ever wish you on Eid and Christmas. Statehood day? I don't think the administration knows about that either. It's equivalent to living in North Korea. We have a calendar and time zone different than the entire nation I sometimes wonder.

Fee Structure And Facilities

B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Nonhosteler, so that might not count. Development fund Rs.60,000/year (don't even know for what particular reason). Semester fee Rs. 55,000/semester and that I can say was reasonable. That accounts for up to Rs.1,70,000/year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Did not. Also, just because the minimum character length is 100 how do you expect a person to fill in something he/she doesn't even know about?

Campus Life

3

Campus life is good for hostelers I think. The gender ratio is very high in the boys' favor. Diversity is there, not too much but not zilch as well. Extracurricular only for the ones who are in any way related to the stage. No luck for people associated with sports.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't even know how the alumni network works in our college. Not much of a topic to discuss around the campus.

Admission

The admission process was mainly based on the AIR of the JEE Mains exam and the counseling took place in mid-July of 2015. Basically, our college stands behind our sister branch in Noida and all the students with a higher AIR are admitted to the same. The rest of us were called for counseling in JUIT itself. CSE, IT, ECE, CIVIL, BI, BT is the general trend in descending order as far as the priorities are concerned.

Faculty

2.5

Biased, immature and intelligent(a majority of them). Biased, because when they favor an individual they would make him/her sit on their heads. Also, when they don't, they simply knock them off their perch without any reasonable argument. Immature, because they're supposed to be teachers, not high school kids. But since they're intelligent, they're paid for that and not for being better listeners, and understanding beings.

Students can sit for job drives from the 7th term. In our college, firms like TCS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra visit. Most jobs are in coding, support, or test fields. The top pay was around ?10 LPA for a dev job. The usual pay is 3–4 LPA for most jobs. Nearly 60–70% of CS/IT students get jobs. Core jobs are less for other fields. My goal is to work for 1–2 years in tech and then go for higher study or skill-based role in top firm or startup.
