Likes

Firstly the interesting thing about this college is its most affordable fees structure compared to any other college in India
The faculties here are highly educated and also help students in research work
Placements here is the nice which even competes with top IITs and NITs

Dislikes

college infrastructure is recently being taken care of due to NAAC visit in our college
Female students are very less in this branch i would mention but I think anyone who has high ambitions should focus more on studies and not on girls
The present West Bengal State Government does not appreciate the revolutionary, protesting behaviour of the students

Yes there are labs and seminars are also programmed as well with industrialists for the benefit the students ExamTiming solely depends on the Executive council (E.C) declaring on JUMS website Exams are of medium to hard level .Some are easy

I gave neet exam but could not get a seat I got a good rank in WBJEE Admission is strictly based on WBJEE merit score Generally cutoffs are generally high for this college as it has NIRF ranking 12th in engineering and good placements and affordable fees.

Every Branch has at most 13-15 proffs (including assistant) Every Branch has some good proffs(friendly,helpful) but few are not so good I dont want to reveal any details about faculty members as all earn there own position to be here Semester wise exams are held - 2 /yr total - 8 sems Yes it is a issue here to pass particular exam under some strict proffs Course curriculum is very beneficial

Regarding examination the frequency is generally acceptable but the timing sometimes overlaps with project submission,creating unnecessary pressure. Exam duration is of 3hrs They should focus more on building projects which can be helpful for students Labs are modern and well equipped In terms of teaching methods a shift towards interactive learning,problem based assignments,hackathons and collaborative projects could make the learning experience more impactful. More emphasis on research and innovation at the undergraduate level could also encourage academic pursuits.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from 7 and 8 semester also their are many placement on thee intern companies. thier are total of 50 t0 60 companies that visits year which leads to very good placement percentage, in mining its above 90 percent. companies which come are infosys, microsoft, google , coal india, tcs, pwc etc. the higest pacage was 39 lacs by coal india. as mentioned above the placement is very good and almost everybranch placement is between 79 to 95 percentage of student which are placed, their are many mass recruiter if you didnt get the best pacakge you still have the chance to get a good package from the mass recruiter. my plan after degree is to advance in computer science even if i dont have the branch but i have the passion to do coding and become a web developer also i will try to get some more degree like mba and mtech and i will also try if i get selection to study abroad.

Not a review but a suggestion of a Vaiya

I prefer Jadavpur University over other colleges as it provides better jobs,better ways for bigger achievements, world-wide connections through professors and chances to be part of great projects and ideas. To be honest I haven't applied for any other colleges through the admission process under WBJEE and got selected in Jadavpur in the first attempt. The admission process of Jadavpur Univesity is done through counselling under WBJEE board and based on the merit in basis of score got in the WBJEE exam. The cutoffs are usually high compared to other colleges in West Bengal and students can get admission only through the WBJEE exam. For being a State University, 90% quota is alloted just for the West Bengal Students ( more information are in the information brochure of Jadavpur University )...Read More

The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score. The cutoff in the internal exam is around 70% for General Category and for CUET, the cutoff varies yearly....Read More

To take admission in Jadavpur University one has to give WBJEE. Eligibility criteria : 2. Candidate must be atleast 17 years of age 3. Candidateshould have passed class 12 or equivalent with physics and maths along with any one of these subjects chemistry, biotechnology, biology, computer science, computer application, technical vocational subject with individual pass marks(in both theory and practical) 4.
