Course Curriculum Overview

3

The only thing that attracts me to this university is their placement offers and the course I choose. It's one of the best as I know university in west bengal for placements. They will prepare you for every situation. Internships are available there. But as they told that they'll offer you 100% placement it's not true.. among 100 only 10 or 15 people got placement on campus and others have to find jobs off campus.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Our university offer internships for every student. For bachelors they offered interships in their last year and masters students offered interships in their last year.. Many projects are available for students. Companies like NYKAA , AIRBUS, CYBER TECH, etc came for placements.

Placement Experience

3

Bachelor students got their placements in their 4th year and post graduate students got their placements in 2nd year. Cyber tech , Nykaa , AIRBUS etc Highest pakage was 1cr in LLB 50% students got placement if their CGPA is good. I think I'll take a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

My course fees is 2.24 lakhs in 2 years. For first semester I pay 76k where the semester fees was 49k and my admission fees was 27000/-. They take a admission test called AUET and if you score good they will give you a scholarship like 5000/-. On the other hand ST/SC people can get scholarships and another scholarships are also available. Swami Vivekananda scholarship ST/SC Scholarship Aikkashree scholarship AUET scholarship

Campus Life

4.5

They have the biggest fest in year called ADINOVA where many biggest singers perform. Also they have freshers etc. Library is very big and books are available there for every course. Classrooms got ACs and projectors. They have basketball court but don't have a swimming pool. They have many clubs and groups for social activities and arts etc.

Admission

I applied in this university cause msc geoinformatics is not much available in west bengal. It's a rare course. Outside the west bengal there are few universities for this course but in west bengal it's not available. I'm not rejected in other universities but I choose this university by myself. I was appear for CUET PG but I was applied for MA GEOGRAPHY.. but later I decided to go for MSC geoinformatics. They have their own university entrance called AUET you have score good to get admission.

Faculty

3.5

This year in our department more faculty members are joined. But in previous years departments doesn't have that much faculty members. I think our department's faculty members are great and helpful in everything. And I think professors should take class more than the PhD fellows.

Other Applied Colleges

Sikkim University | Master of Arts [MA] (Geography)

It is one of the best university in west bengal for the course I choose and they have best placement offers.. They have beautiful campus and the teachers are so helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If the student is quite serious to go for a PHD after completing his MSc from here, I would say it is a great choice but if one is looking for the option to explore some other field after completing his MSc from here, I wouldn't recommend of getting a degree from here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus structure of KU is totally based on the IIT JAM exam syllabus. That helps students very much in future preparation for Ph.D. Also KU offers special classes for competitive exam preparations including SPSC or UPSC as well as helps to get placements in the private sector. And professors are very highly qualified they can teach this syllabus in depth and with care

Course Curriculum Overview:

The program curriculum encompasses Biological Sciences as well as it could have been. It is very elaborate comprising every branches from Instrumemtation and Methodologies to Cell Biology, Genetics or Molecular Biology for that matter. You are ought to have three theory papers and two practical and Grand VIVA papers each semester with a total of 4 semesters over two years. In the last semester, you need to prepare your dissertation. The papers include all the basic concepts and their applications and demands hard hours. I believe the syllabus can be relaxed a bit and the number of papers per term expanded and compartmentalised so as to reduce the load of individual papers. All the faculties are very supportive and Friendly and appreciate doubts and queries always.
