Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is new and interesting, covering the latest subjects in the market while ensuring strong basics. My curriculum has immense real-world applications. Since my course has just started I can not suggest any areas for improvement. Exams are conducted every two months or so. They are moderate to high level difficult.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Since I am a first-year student, I cant provide much information on this topic. As far as my knowledge goes, plenty of oppurtunities re available for students in 3rd year. Depending on your skill level they can be paid or unpaid.

Placement Experience

3.5

Campus Placements start from end of third year to fourth year. VIT has a good placement record. The average package is around 9lpa and highest package offered was 45lpa. Majority of students get placed after graduating in good companies. I also plan to sit for placements after completing my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearwise fees I pay is around 500000 Rs. Tuitions fees are 300000 Rs, admission fees is 100000 Rs and hostels fees are little bit lesser than 200000 Rs. They charge a security deposit of 15000 Rs. My batchmates who maybe from lower categories have fees ranging from 600000 - 700000 Rs. Scholarships are available for rank holders.

Campus Life

4

There are many fests in VIT namely TechnoVIT, Vibrance, Voyage, etc. They are typically held in end of the year and April. We have an excellent library covering thousands of books. It is well organized and easy to navigate. The faculties are experienced and classrooms are up to date. All major sports can be played at VIT. The quality of sporting goods and grounds is also commendable. There are hundreds of different clubs available for students to join and connect.

Hostel Facilities

3

We have a four bedded room with AC. Its a room with two bunk beds and four desks with four chairs. Drinking water is available from coolers, two on each floor. Hostel mess are clean and sanitised. Meal quality is good. Registration process for hostel and mess is seamless.

Admission

I applied to some colleges in Mumbai, as well as SRM college. I had confirmed admission in SRM KTR campus and DJ Sanghvi in Mumbai. I preferred VIT over other colleges, because of their good placement records, good academic structure, good sporting structure and overall development. I couldnt make it to IITs as I couldnt clear JEE ADVANCE.

Faculty

3

Faculty to student ratio is around 1:30. Faculties are quite friendly and experienced. They can be approached any time for anything, even non-academics. One particular faculty that I like is Dr. Saravanan, who teaches us engineering chemistry. He has a calm and enduring behaviour and a crisp understanding of his subject. His classes are engaging and refreshing. There are no such faculties that I dislike outright. We have three exams in one semester, namely CAT1, CAT2, and FAT. Along with assignments and graded assessments. Exams are moderate to difficult. They can be cleared easily with consistent studying, however some students do manage to fail the exams.

Other Applied Colleges

SRM Institute of Science and Technology - [SRMIST] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I felt VIT is better than SRM college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum behind or campus is very much updated and it is changing as the technology changes. As the present world is engaging with computer and artificial intelligence,I want to improve more knowledge and also want to compete with others. The time table and the devlopment technology followed by our university is devoloped so that only placement are recorded with high percentage when compared to other. The improvement should be observed only regarding labs.We have write examination for every 30 or 40 days , because there are 3 internal test ,semester and lab exams.Actually time is not sufficient but we have to do hardwork.when compared to other universities or colleges our exams arebwry hard.

Curriculum is not suitable for real world applications and exams are conducting simultaneously every 20 days.We have to study every single minute for getting good CGPA . Our curriculum is very tough to study and it increases the thinking power of students.
