Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

no college course is relevant. degree is the main concern for maximum students. exposure is always provided at internships. our college administration can make a few changes and include drafting and pleading as compulsory subject. timings are not great, have to attend classes after lunch, which means attending 4-5 classes in the morning, then rushing back to hostel and again go back to classes. I usually have lunch at 3 due to this.

Internships Opportunities

0.5

internships provided to 3-4 students per available month via internship cell. nearly every student manages/bags internships throughout college life through personal connections and etc. main tasks at every internship includes research work.

Placement Experience

0.5

Most students opt for PPO since placement cell here is not so good. Also companies also select 5-10 toppers only for interview. At the end, 20-30 students are employed (both ppo and on campus placements) post 5 year course out 180-220 students. Most students prepare for judiciary as result.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Fees increases by around 5 percent every year, this is my last year and I am paying 240,000 INR. 2. No particular benefit category wise. 3. Same fees to batchmates, sone are exempted by 40% or more depending on their individual circumstances. 4. No idea.

Campus Life

3

1 sports fest and 2-3 moot competitions organized by the college per year. Library is really good and hepful. Might not need to purchase books, just issue some from library and you are good to go. library also has a study rooms. facilities are awesome in classrooms as well. A decent lot of students take part in sports and you are welcome anytime. Club culture is decnt too, does help with networking and guidance. online portals are alright.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

ac, single bed and almirah/ cupboard/ closet provided. have to buy matress and other essentials from in/out of campus. meal quality good at the start when not many students have arrived at capmus but degrades as the semester proceeds. 100% residential campus, not allowed to rent a room/pg outside.

Admission

got this college after giving clat 2019, couldn't make it to gnlu due to age. admission - college alloted based on clat rank and own preference. post clat councelling, many colleges also accept students based on clat ranks of new applicants if seat remains.

Faculty

3

Most faculty is chill as you enter 4th year. Academics is manageable as this day. faculty to student ratio is alright. my batch mainly has good students (academics wise), so not more than 25 students appear for repeat exams out of 180 students.

Interview Experience

0.5

No Interviews/GD for admission. Only allotted using a mix of Clat ranks and personal preference as opted in clat portal. If any seat becomes vacant after clat councelling, the same is allotted to applicants who applied on college part (not as a part of clat councelling).

This is a little vulnerable part of our university as placements aren't it's biggest strenth. A batch size of 300 and only half of ir finds placements from RGNUL. Yes around 40 odd firms have inked deals with RGNUL but still getting the desired results in favour of placements will take some time.

In our University, students are eligible for campus placements in 5th year of their degree for BA.LLB.(Hons.) and in LLM. they are eligible for placements in the 1st semester itself. Many Law firms visit our university like Khaitan & Co., Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Trilegal, etc. One students of our university got a 2.5 cr. placement offer from Linklaters Llp. a firm based in U.K. My plans after getting the degree are to start litigation or give a try in UPSC.

According to my information, from 4 th year that is 7 th semester we are eligible for campus placement but for that we have to enroll in placement preparation in which they prepare the students for the placement drive . My plans is not for campus placement after my course I will go into litigation and practice for my judiciary exams and after that my backup is for llm.

Companies have still not looked at RGNUL and therefore high court lawyers and litigation firms are the ones who provides placements to RGNUL students. In recent past students have been constantly getting placed with 10 LPA package and placements percentage too has rose above 50 now.
