Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum covers the diverse specifications of law and helps the students in understanding it in a thorough manner. The 2 time exams in the sem tests the students for their understanding and practicality of the questions.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college has a internship cell which works its best to secure the internships for the students. Various internship are provided in be in the corporate firms or litigation firms or the chambers of the advocate.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell of the college works day & night and it offers campus placements. Various tier 1 and tier 2 firms come to the campus for hiring and offer placements. Placements are offered once you enter in the final year and sit for the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

Paying rs.242000 out of which 60000 is hostel fees and 24000 mess fee. The same fees is paid by my batch mates who belong to other categories. The scholarship is granted to financially weak students in which tuition fees is waived off 50%

Campus Life

4.5

The overall experience of mine in the college is bittersweet where I'm truly enjoying the campus life and socializing with my batch mates and juniors and seniors. There is a strong culture of sports and there are playgrounds for the same be it cricket, football, badminton, basketball, volleyball, tennis or athletics.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are well furnished and in a good condition in which a bed, almirah, shelf and table & chair are provided. The rooms are equipped with ACs which is the best part. The food of the mess is also good and offers variety of meals across the seven days of the week.

Admission

I chose the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, punjab for its wonderful infrastructure and campus along with the other factors such as career opportunities, placements and near to the hometown.

Faculty

4

Faculties of the college are well versed in their subjects and are passionately dedicated towards the studies and holistic development. The relationship between the students and faculties is very healthy and they are very helpful to the students.

This is a little vulnerable part of our university as placements aren't it's biggest strenth. A batch size of 300 and only half of ir finds placements from RGNUL. Yes around 40 odd firms have inked deals with RGNUL but still getting the desired results in favour of placements will take some time.

In our University, students are eligible for campus placements in 5th year of their degree for BA.LLB.(Hons.) and in LLM. they are eligible for placements in the 1st semester itself. Many Law firms visit our university like Khaitan & Co., Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Trilegal, etc. One students of our university got a 2.5 cr. placement offer from Linklaters Llp. a firm based in U.K. My plans after getting the degree are to start litigation or give a try in UPSC.

Companies have still not looked at RGNUL and therefore high court lawyers and litigation firms are the ones who provides placements to RGNUL students. In recent past students have been constantly getting placed with 10 LPA package and placements percentage too has rose above 50 now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good as there are many subjects which are important from the point of view and law like sociology and political science and we also have a new subject UNGP which allows the students to know about UN helping them in public international law and internatinal law understanding. The curriculum might not help everyone in real life but the environment you get there and surviving there surely hell one in real life The recommendation from me to do improvements is in checkinh as many students get few marks initially but after revaluation they increases
