Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choosed this course as the expenditure comparing to studying outside yet far universities and main coties are a bit costly They basically engages you in interships during your final and mid year so basically makes you more equipped with knowledge and be prepared Also the college has this online side quest training course where you learn the basic required courses of other fields too And during the end sem which is final year they continously lets us to sit for placement cell program which teaches us how to be confident for jobs

Internships Opportunities

4

Interships not all provide stipends but most do based on where your working at currently core companies like bmw and all will offer atleast minimum 10000 to 15000 You basically need to be punctual during your intership to claim your certificate and also make them approve that your good and you might be able to work theree

Placement Experience

3

From 7th sem we are eligible for placement Basically it companies and also during the previous years tata motors and different automobile companies has visited our department , might vary for different departments Highest will be 160000 lpa 55/65% of students gets placed My plans will be working in a corporate

Fees and Financial Aid

I usually pay a sum of ?55,000 every semester and so in a year itd be ?110,000 and i will be paying only ?55,000 as its only a year left now, so yes there was this scholarship but im not compatible and its from national scholarship portal So basically the university will charge you ?10,000 during the start and another ?20,000 including club fees and uniform fees included then thats a one time and only the semester fees will proceed So the university is offering some scholarship like semester fee cutoff for 90% and above marks scored during the 12th or diploma And other scholarships like natuonal or state scholarship exists too

Campus Life

3.5

There are many festivals in our university and alsoo theres freshman programs and the biggest will be the karoynix where it goes on till night and djs and celebrities comes too In our library theres basically all we need to study books for all the departments so even if teachers dont provide us notes we can avail from there Every classroom has ac and projector equipped with clean maintenance and solid infrastructure For sports theres is annual sports events and tournaments for basketball, football , badminton, table tennis , volleyball, and kabbadi and much more

Admission

Here nearby colleges with mechanical werent available in my hometown nagaland the nearest was assam...i was getting admission offers from lpu lovely professional University and also quest group of institutions but comparing to them the quest group sof institutions chandigarh ive witnessed the institution with not proper campus facilities and alsoo the buildings and classrooms are rotten and needed improvement so i cancelled my registration and plans on going there

Faculty

4

Faculty and students depends on how coperative students will be otherwise the faculties engage and tries their best to help us The best faculties will be our Mechanical department our Hod and our subject teachers cause they are strick and is punctual and teaxhes well Only female teachers some tends to be absent Exams are easy and you have back paper system

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum they will show you before admission is completely different what you will be getting. They will be covering things but not with a higher level. In a subject easy topics will be covered but when teacher find any topic difficult , it will not come in exam since everyone has to pass the exam. They can just follow the GATE exam curruculum and that would be enough for any students to outperform after engineering with real time lap teaching. There is semister exam only where you will have to give workshop and lab exam along with theory paper

Placement Experience:

Placements start from 7th semester (4th Year). Companies like Amazon, Legato, TCS, Synopsis, etc. visit for on campus placements. We have a very good placement ratio and average package. For CSE, the average package was 13 LPA and 92% students were placed. While for ECE, the average package was 8 LPA and 66% students were placed. I'm planning on gaining work experience for 2 years after my B.Tech and then pursue MS Or M.Tech from abroad.

Remarks:

I choosed because my CEE marks which was 92 at that time was not enough to get admission in govt engineering colleges and the OBC cut off was 120+. So, in Whole northeast Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology is the no 1 and the oldest private engineering college and I decided to take admission there.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is quite good, with several reputed companies like General Electric, Power Grid Corporation of India, Goldman Sachs, among others recruiting 94 percent of the students in the college. The placement takes place in three rounds, one testing one's aptitude, followed by an hour round, finally leading on to a technical round. Mock interview and job cracking sessions are organized regularly, both by the departments, and also the Training and Placement Cell, to prepare students for the interviews and examinations going forward. The Training and Placement Cell also provides internship opportunities at the end of third year for the students, based on their aptitude and abilities

Remarks:

I have mostly positive remarks about college except for the fact that the college is situated really far from mainstream north India. Train connectivity is not that strong to rest of country. But despite that the college is extremely good in the sense of learning, meeting new innovative minds, and of course placements and jobs.
