Course Curriculum Overview

4

There are many interesting and practical subjects in Bcom(hons) which influenced me to opt this course. This mixture of theoretical and practical knowledge makes this course very interesting. Apart from the courses, the faculty who teaches is also very experienced and knowledgeable and they use both traditional and technical methods to deliver the topics which makes it more interesting. Though subjects are new so it needs practice and time but they are not difficult to crack. Overall it's worth it.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are many opportunities available and given by college. These opportunities are circulated by Placement cells which makes these Internship more renowned and reliable for students. It helps in shaping the personality of students in positive manner. Todhe various opportunities available are:- Intership by Deloitte as Audit Assurance Intership by KPMG as Audit Analyst Intership by Younity as business analyst Intership by Prayan foundation as HR And many others with fixed or variable Stipend along with Certificate and LOR.

Placement Experience

4

The college offers good placement to the students as there is a placement cell in the campus who organizes and deals with the companies. The average package offered by IPCW is 4.7 - 5 LPA and the highest package through BCOM(HONS) was 21 LPA. Many renowned and famous companies hire 3rd year graduates from IPCW Like Deloitte,KPMG,EY, Zomato, planet spark, William towers Watson , De shaw, and many more. But all the course students can't go for placements as it is for some courses as demanded by company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The feedback structure for different courses are: BCOM(HONS)- 33125 BSC( HONS)- 33125 BA( PROGRAM)-29125 This fee structure is for 1st years and it declines in 2nd and 3rd year. As of BCOM(HONS) the fees for 22620 for 2&3 yr. Regarding scholarship: Scholarship are also provided for the students under different categories based on CGPA acquired in current semesters ie. Merit based. They also have special facilities for PWD Students. Some of the scholarship which have been given to the students are- 1)Dr.Sadhna Chatterjee Memorial Scholarship 2)Shyamal Mitra and Chaya Mitra Memorial merit-cum scholarship

Campus Life

4

IPCW is one of the old renowned women's college of Delhi University. It has very aesthetic and good infrastructure and it has various facilities. It focuses on sanitation and arranged the seminars and webinars by famous doctors to create awareness. It focuses on every aspect ie. Cultural, social, technical to make candidate superfluous, aware and self - sufficient in every field.

Admission

As I got admission through CUET , I have preferred many colleges over IPCW and IPCW was at my 6th prefence but I got it after declaration of result. Then I got admission in that college . Earlier I used to think like that it's not good college but after visiting and spending few months there I realised it's the best college among all other DU colleges in many aspects like infrastructure, sanitation, scenic beauty, faculty, extra curricular activities. As it is a renowned college it don't accept the students who are very poor in academics . But a average student with 80+% can apply in this college and it has common university entrance test to get admission in all DU college conducted by NTA.

Faculty

4

IPCW offers three stream : commerce, maths,Arts. It has good faculty for all the streams.there is variation in the age group of faculty to bring diversion and new thoughts in teaching style. Young faculty brings new teaching methods and senior faculty brings their experience and together they make the best version of faculties. The relationship between faulty and student is like mentor- mentee where we can approach to any teacher and can share our greivance without hesitation and they got resolved by them. As a commerce student I like my faculty very much as they are quite understandable , knowledgeable, experienced, some of the senior teachers are strict as well . Regarding exams. There are 7 subjects to study 3 Core and 4 enhancement or value added courses. The exams are moderate one can pass exam studying 1 month before the exam but should not procrastinate the syllabus for last moment.

Placement Experience:

After completing 4 semester you are eligible to sit into on-campus placements i.e. after completing your second year. Companies start to arrive in final year or pre final year of you're going for 4 year degree. Big 4 companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PWC and other companies like accenture, zomato, airtel can be seen in placement season. Average package is 4-5 LPA ranging from college to college and depends individual skill set and practical experience. Highest could go upto 22LPA in our college. Half of the students gets placed during the season but not all. After competition of degree students can pursue various courses like CA, CS or praper for CAT/GMAT.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.
