Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course that I am doing is Bcom and and according to relevancy the course isn't that relevant as most students who opt for bcom are mostly CA or CS students because of which the course isn't relevant for them. But the curriculum is fantastic and it opens many opportunities for the students. The improvement of course can be found in the difficulty level as many students underestimate this course because of the level of difficulty. This course is 3 year course.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid 16k for my first year Bcom undergraduate course and 17k for my second year Bcom undergraduate course and for my Third year graduation course I have to pay 18K. All this amount are paid yearly. Even for such affordable amount the quality of education has never been compromised.

Campus Life

4.5

As you know, Somaiya college is better known for their big campus and sports complex & faculties. Our main event of somaiya Is known as "Symphony" This event is festival of joy which enables us to showcase our talent and skills. There are different kinds of sports in somaiya such as football, cricket, badminton, tennis, squash, swimming, etc. There are many gujrati students in somaiya so there are many social groups and programs in somaiya

Admission

I chose this college so that I can focus better on my Chartered accountancy as KJ somaiya Arts and commerce has very lineant attendance ratio which helps me to focus on my ca career. No, I did not get rejected from any other college because my only aim was to get admitted into KJ somaiya college of arts and commerce. The admission process is simple you have to sign in to the website of somaiya and use your email and phone number for the OTP. After signing in you have to click on admission and fill the required details as asked. I got into the college with 77%

The course that I am doing right now is Bachelor's of commerce which is a 3 year course and currently under NEP has a clause of adding one more year and making it 4 year course. 1st year exam is comparatively easy and the level of difficulty increases every year, but if you have opt for CA exam then since the subject is easier than ca subjects, students can find it pretty easy. My favourite faculty is Mr. Sandeep who sits in the administration office.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good on paper. University has given like 8 subjects from which we have to choose 5. But this college itself chooses 5 subjects and students now have to learn only them ... Like in 3rd year sem 5 there was subject international finance I wanted to study that because baf course is all about finance but the college had subject management. So yeah be prepared for this. My colleges reputation is not that great because other city students come too. So for about teaching it's average

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.
