Likes

The campus is quite large than other DU colleges, which makes it better in comparison to other colleges.
Campus includes huge ground for sports activities. Besides, the college is airconditioned. Computer Labs are properly maintained.
College provides NCC(National Cadet Corps)opportunity which is usually not present.

Dislikes

Placement opportunities are quite low as compared to other top tier colleges.
College canteen is below average. Exposure is limited due to college being minority college.
Teachers are not much cooperative. Infrastructure can be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview

Bcom( Hons) usually consists of accounting and finance. The curriculum consists of certain practical subjects whereas certain subjects are useless. Teachers should be more interactive and not merely focus on completing the syllabus. Unnecessary assignments should be removed. Exams are quite moderate.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 29000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is around 29000/- so is the admission amount (1st year).Besides, exam form fees for every semester is usually around 1500-2100/ depending upon the course structure and the subjects chosen for each semester. No other fees is required to be paid besides that.

Campus Life

College has an annual fest which is pretty below average as compared to other colleges. Library is quite huge and consists of all the important material. Sports facilities are prominent. Classes are airconditioned. Consists of various societies.

Admission

Applied to SRCC, LSR, Hansraj etc but couldn't clear the cut off of those colleges hence got a seat in this one. After paying admission fees you've to verify your documents. You're required to give CUET for the same

Faculty

Commerce faculty is quite serious towards their curriculum. Science faculties are the best. Every semester has an end sem exam. Besides that usually internal tests are taken by teachers. Usually there are few students who fail to clear the end sem exam in every course.

LIFE AS A DU SOL STUDENT

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Overall College life experience.

Placement Experience:

After completing 4 semester you are eligible to sit into on-campus placements i.e. after completing your second year. Companies start to arrive in final year or pre final year of you're going for 4 year degree. Big 4 companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PWC and other companies like accenture, zomato, airtel can be seen in placement season. Average package is 4-5 LPA ranging from college to college and depends individual skill set and practical experience. Highest could go upto 22LPA in our college. Half of the students gets placed during the season but not all. After competition of degree students can pursue various courses like CA, CS or praper for CAT/GMAT.

This college is not good enough for upgrading skill and knowledge.

Placement Experience:

SSNC have a placement cell which provides internship details and also shat company hiring details. 3rd and 4th semester students are eligible for internship Highest average package is approx 12 LPA and average price is approx 5LPA and actually I don't know which company give the highest and to whom.

Students get placements in the last semester before the last exams as per my knowledge the average package is 4 to 5 lpa and highest package was 15lpa . Not all the students get placed from the college only the one's with good skills and some experience about the work are chosen.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Overall College life experience.

Along with Gargi college I chose some North campus colleges too because of high NIRF ranking . Due to high cut-off and belonging from a general category usually students are not able to crack north campus colleges. This is the main reason why competition is high and seats are less of we look at yearly registrations. You need to give CUET right after completing 12th standard in order to get into top ranked colleges. This college is not good enough for upgrading skill and knowledge.

I have applied many college such as IPU and other colleges of DU IPU have very costly and expensive fees structure where in DU have cheap. But DU addmission is based on CUET marks.
