Course Curriculum Overview

5

I would rate a 4.1/5 . I was attracted by physics in my school life so i choose this course for study. I just wanted to take physics without any specialization and in my list of application it was the only one college which gives course of just bsc physics (hons). If we talk about curriculum,as i said its just the first year of Four year degree..every body has confusions about it.We can say this four year degree as Work based learning.. Theres Major and 2 minors and MDC( multi disciplinery course) for this.. I'm sure this will help all students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees : 1500/- per year As it is a government college the course fees is comparatively low and affordable for people .. For general category students, they have to pay nearly 1500/- as fees and for SC and ST category the fees will decrease. If we have Egrantz scholarship then we don't have to pay 1500/- .it will be reduced

Campus Life

We'll never regret for coming here! Seniors are super friendly and awesome. They conducted fresher's for us and i have no words to explain it..!! Wonderful experience!! We have a separate block for library and have 50k books in it! Sports and extra caricular activities have the same importance as studies We have many clubs and cells and also, NSS, NCC(army and navy)

Admission

I wanted to study pure physics and wanted to study in merit. my family dont have that much financial stability to study me in private or autonomous colleges. I got my first autonomous admission to CMS college Kottayam. I didn't get first allotment in merit but when i was in CMS to complete my admission process I got my second allotment in Government College Kottayam! And i came here.

Our principal: Dr.R.Pragash Teachers and non teaching staff are very friendly to the students. They help us in studies and extracurricular activities. Dr Jinchu our tutor. I like her the most in our faculties. She has same vibe as we students. She helps us in studies and supports us in engaging in extra caricular activities!! If we talk about curriculum,it is now a four-year degree with honours. teachers and students are so confused about it and trying to get in a track of studies!! Study hours are increased with a period for extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
