Course Curriculum Overview

4

If we talk about curriculum, it is pretty much good. It includes things that should be brought in front of students and that help to improve the student's basic knowledge of these topics. From this year onwards the usual 3 year degree has changed and now it is four years with an honors degree.

Internships Opportunities

4

The geology department in our college provides internships in different parts and that usually helps the students to bring their studies to the next level. They always visit different sites, really helpful.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college always provides so many scholarships and fee reductions according to our category. As it is a government college, the fee is comparatively low. For general category students, they have to pay nearly 1000 as a semester fee. If they have an E-grantz scholarship it will decrease to 150. For SC/ST and OEC students, they have so many benefits in fee reduction.

Campus Life

4.5

The overall experience is really nice. The college have great infrastructure and facilities. The college is also active in different club activities and NSS, NCC, etc. These help the students to engage in extracurricular activities

Hostel Facilities

4

I am staying there as a PG. I have not got admission in college girls hostel as I have less distance to home comparatively and I belong to a general category. I have to pay a fee of 5500 monthly, which is really costly

Admission

The college comes under Mahatma Gandhi University so the admission process was via the University site. The admission was based on the marks we have scored in higher secondary education. On behalf of that they will allocate us according to our interest.

Faculty

4

The college provides the best teachers and other faculties. They are always cooperative and will be always there with us so which helps us in a better and more effective education. They are also very happy to help us and to be with us for our growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
