Course Curriculum Overview

Very well designed course curriculam is there in this college. They are relevent and a new subject is introduced fron 2022 batch that is Industry 4.0 which is bacically the industry needs regarding the job is taught.

Placement Experience

Due to the recencent recesscion and Government policy to maintain the girls to boys ratio many company are taking few students from this college in the recent time. Otherwise there is good reputation of KIIT regarding Placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Institution fees till 2023 1,75,000/- per semester and hostel fees for non ac is 28000+ mess fees 28500. Moreover addditional 1000 for semester registration and 1000 for exam fees. Most faculties are good and cooperative.

Campus Life

There are many technical and non technical societies are there in this college to work with. It is very helpful regarding project related work. We can add the project works in the cv/ resume regarding campus related placements.

Hostel Facilities

Registration process regarding the hostel is that we have to apply for hostel accomodation in a formin the orienation/ reportting process. Thera are 6 types of room available 3 bed non ac, 2 bed non ac, 3 bed ac, 2 bed ac,3 bed ac premium, 2 bed ac premium. Hostel quality is dependable. hostel houskeeping are little lazy. Wardens are okay. Meal is poor average.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

I choose this college because of good infrastructure, hostel availability, bus availability in the campus. There are many orientation regarding new industry related things and easy access to the Traning and Placement department cell. Most over there is ICT cell to contact regarding wifi, sap portal and other technical issue.

Faculty

The course marks is divided into three parts (20 mid sem+30 internal + 50 end sem). The 30 marks internal is fully dependent on the mood of the teacher( except few teachers). If you have very good attendance and very good marks in mid sem the only you will get good marks in internals. 2 to 3 faculty of everydepartment is arragont and gives less marks.

My college journey so far

Placement Experience:

Placement is good average package is 8-9 lpa and above 85% student is placed last year with good package and few get less bocz of some reason. I fully do not agree on average package bcoz the fee of 4 year is about 20 lakhs including hostel and mess and other all the things

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

An Honest Review of My college Experience

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies visited to our college like Tata,Wipro, TCS, Infosys and Accenture etc . Our highest package in computer science is 1200000 per annum and Average package is 500000 per annum. Percentage of students getting placement is actually varies by year and course and average 40 to 50% students get the placement offers . My plan is qualifying gate with a good rank and do my higher study mtech.

In 6th semester, Placement opportunities are available and the criteria is more than 7.0 CGPA,No backlog. Based on the company criteria Many companies like TCS,Tech Mahindra, Wipro,Q-spider, Flipkart, Infosys, Aditya Birla group and 50+ others companies,No offers more than 330+ 75% of students are placed. 1.Like i did not apply so many colleges but i got selected in my state government college in it branch but i did not go there becuase there not so many companies comes for placement and internship and there not a much opportunity 2.
