Likes

I loved the infrastructure it was very peaceful and welcoming
The classrooms and good with wifi connections with labs and a big library
They have an entire floor for library with research materials and pc

Dislikes

The campus is a bit too far and its difficult to come and go everyday

Course Curriculum Overview

.The sem 1 mainly focuses on physics and math . From the second year we will be starting CAD . We come under the mechanical dept and we have lots of subs like ai , designing, experimental physics etc. The curriculum is required to know general knowledge abt mechanics

The projects are unknown to me but interships start in 5th sem and they have lots of schemes and programs like student exhange program for intership in foreign countries without any extra fee to pay for.

The placement are what the college is well know for with avg 8.6 lpa and highest so far is 64lpa . Many companies like google,microsoft have hired from the college. Intership and student exchange program begin in the 3rd year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is based on the scholarship and marks u obtain the their exam called aeee with different slabs and the original fee is 400000 . There are 3 slabs available and it changes with ur cgpa. A particular rank is set for scholarship students and they have to maintain it or the fee will be increased

Campus Life

There are a total of 17 non tech and 32 tech clubs each unique in its own ways . They all participate in various college fest and volunteer for tours and trips while availing certificates . The infrastructure is so gorgeous with its gardens and statues

Admission

Amrita has a really good record of placements and even a relative of mine studied there and secured a place in a gaming company. They are known for their decscipline and knowledge and their chancellor

Faculty

The faculty is huge with dept heads and also club mentors . There are 2 teachers for a subject depending on the topic. The faculty are really good and meet to our needs. There are 2 kinds of exam on is mid sem and otger is 3 quiz which will be conducted in any method depending on the faculty

From 6th semester we will get the placement assist .almost all mnc and top companies in india visits the college , namely cognizant ,oracle, tcs , infosys , capgemini , accenture , mu sigma , and many others along with startups . few companies offers direct fte roles, whereas few take students as interns and provide fte(full time employment).package will be between 3 to 36 lpa. rules during college placement drive are there will be 3 buckets , less than 7 lpa bucket 1 , 7-15 lpa bucket-2, above 15lpa bucket -3 , if a student gets any offer in specified bucket then he/she wont be eligible to apply for companies withe the salary range of that bucket. They provide international placement opportunities also , specially the zenken company collaboration , helps to get japan companies placement assist.

Placement Experience:

Generally I pefferd this college because of the college's reputation in placments . Students generally get placed into company's in 7th sem . Generally companies like TATA, IBM, Infosys, Amazon , Wistron, Accenture, Xoriant, Hp etc . generally 800 + students gets offers . Highest package is around 30+ Lpa and avearge package is 7 Lpa .MY plan is to try for both placements and also Gate examination

My life in Amrita as an Undergraduate

I applied to PESU in bengaluru, i wanted CSE but got into ECE so i chose AI and DS in Amrita over ECE in PESU. Also fees was lesser in Amrita compared to PESU. I wanted to apply for MIT, bangalore but since the college was very far and the fees was huge i diidnt apply, plus i already got into amrita by then. And since i am from bangalore and didnt want to leave the place i didnt try for colleges outside of bangalore. The admission process for my college is either through the entrance exam conducted by them which is AEEE or through JEE. I got in through JEE since it was better than my AEEE score. with a rank below 3k students might get into slab 1 for any course if they are from bangalore due to local quota....Read More
