Course Curriculum Overview
I chose msc in general chemistry so that I can switch to any other field of chemistry. The course curriculum contains organic, inorganic and physical chemistry. There is project dissertation in one semester that helps with the research interest among students.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities in the college is improving by year. The students from chemistry are placed in companies like ZIFO, and several banks as clerks. Some IT companies also recruit from the stream. The average package being 2 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee per year was around 4000. I availed the e-grantz scholarship of Kerala government for lower income based family students. The management quota is higher but less than 10000 per year. The admission fee is about 7000 Rs.
Campus Life
I studied for the course in Corona period. So I didn't get to interact with many students. The club activities and college activities were not frequent. But we had annual college programs. Sports and extra curricular activities are supported by the college.
Admission
BSc Chemistry is the eligibility. It's an Autonomous college, the application is online through college website. In general the call for application starts on May last. Reservation based on caste, etc should be specified in application.
Faculty
All the faculties hold PhD or equivalent degrees. They are approachable and easy to interact. Always available for doubt clearance. The method of teaching is good and helpful for future. The mentorship of all the teachers is good.
