Remarks

The college is absolutely brilliant and am very proud of being associated with this college. Being in this college itself gave a head start to my career. The faculty, the facilities and the infrastructure of the college is best in the city and there is nothing that one can complain about in this college. The alumni is a revered one and provides great deal of motivation to any new student that comes to this college.

Entrance Preview

I got into NM college with the SSC examination wherein I scored 84%. The reason I choose this college for the track record of the college for having the best talent in the city and amazing facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was pretty much standard as it was governed by the state board. However the faculty was very experienced and helped the students hugely with the assignments and exam preparation. Plus the library facilities is also brilliant to assist students for studies.

Internships Opportunities

They did not provide any internship opportunities however, the brand itself was quite reputed for anyone to easily find an internship for himself.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college does not provide any placement opportunities. However because of the reputation and brand of the college its easy for anyone to find a decent job in the market particularly in the field of finance. However, one has to pursue a higher post graduate education to get a better job.

College Events

4

The college has an annual festival by the name of Umang which is one of the biggest college event in Mumbai. It happens every year in the month of August and lasts for 4-5 days. The participation is quite huge with over 100 colleges in Mumbai participating in the events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite simple and its not huge for anyone's pocket. The general fees annually is in the range of 3000-4000 rupees which is largely governed by the state board and university. There are no extra charges which are levied on the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not avail any scholarship from the college. However the college does provide for scholarships for few students whose academics are good and can't afford the fees.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is brilliant with full of buzzing people . The gender diversity is also good. There are good amount of extra curricular activities happening every day in college. There are clubs of different topics which keep organizing interesting events every month.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are no hostel facilities in the college however, the college does help the students with some hostels nearby which are sponsored by similar trusts as college. The canteen facilities are very good and provide food at highly discounted prices. The quality of the food is also very good.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a alumni of very well known people who are working at very senior positions in all walks of life. The seniors are also generally helpful and open to assist students with their career choices and path ahead.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is pretty simple with four semesters each in one quarter. It is not very hectic and one had enough time for preparation. The curriculum is quite simple and does not create undue stress on students. The faculty also helps the students in preparation.

Faculty

4

The faculty was very experienced one with some of them being past aluminum of the college. They had thorough knowledge of the subject and also were working for the college for a long period of time. They were always there to assist students with their preparation of exams.

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.
