Remarks

I have lived there for Four years and i am proud of my decision to choose LPU. There is nothing to regret about. All i can say is everything is fine. Infrastructure of the college is exceptionally beautiful and mind blowing. Faculties, senior students all are really helpful.

Entrance Preview

I could not make it to the IITs or NITs but engineering was my passion. That's why I was looking for a good private college and affordable as well. LPU was the one which completed all my requirements and i took its entrance exam and qualified that. Then i joined LPU and after four years of experience all i can say is i don't regret my decision and i proud of what i did.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was a little tougher than I thought it would be. It was well designed and had everything which any engineering student requires. Talking about classrooms it was totally smart classrooms having projector and couple of ACs and many fans.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, LPU provides internship at very low cost and sometimes its free as well. But the quality of the internship is not up to the mark i would say.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement process is little bit tough i would say. One has to secure more than 60% marks and it requires no reapper and backlogs in order to be eligible for placement drives. LPU arranges many preparatory classes pre placement and also conducts mock interviews and they specifically focus on sof skills and aptitude. Which really helps student.

College Events

5

LPU has more than 20 thousands students from every part of the country and international students as well. So events here are really colourful and enthusiastic. ONE INDIA, ONE WORLD, DJ NIGHT, YOUTHVIBE are few examples of the same. Which provides student the opportunity to participate and explore.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is neither too high nor too low but if you are lucky enough to get a scholarship then it becomes really affordable for the middle class family and low class family as well. I did B.tech from there with a fee of Rs 46000/semester. One good thing is this college does not have any hidden fees or donation.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, I got scholarship. My fee structure for Btech 2014 batch was Rs 89000/semester but after they provided me scholarship it became 46000/semester. Which was really affordable for me. It also allows you to apply for state government scholarships and help you as well to get that.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is really colourful. Events going everywhere, Big playgrounds and full secured with CCTVs and guards. You will really feel safe inside campus since there is no ragging, no racism. Gender ratio is also good. Since lpu has tons of courses so Boys to girls ration is 7:3.

Hostel Facilities

3

I lived in hostels for 2 years. It was a great experience because i was having roommates from nort east India and siuth India and one international student. So i came to learn about new culture and learnt many things from them. LPU provides 24*7 electricity, geyser, AC/Cooler and good lighting inside the room. It also has free wifi and lifts. Mess here is a little messy i would say but com'on you can never get food like home anywhere else.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are. They helo you a lot whenever you need them they are there to help. Also there is no ragging. So you feel safe.

Exam Structure

Talking about the exams it is totally linked with everything. I mean there is total of three class test for a particular subject out of which best two is taken and given 25% weightage and 5% is for attendance if you have more than 99% attendance. Then there is midterm exam totally objective type questions which has 20% weightage. And finally at the end of semester End term happens which has 50% weightage.

Admission

I took the LPUNEST test and scored 132 marks also i was having 62% marks in 12th standard so that was sufficient for the admission. I got scholarship and then my fees became affordable and i pursued my dream course there. Everything is fine with this college. Nothing to complain about.

Faculty

3

As far as faculties are concerned they are really helpful and friendly. But one thing i noticed there that is they were not well experienced but sufficient for the course. Faculties also has to take several tests and interviews before joining the college.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
