What Students Say
Likes
- The competition is always there in between morning and evening, one may say that morning's always ahead, but this year Bhagat Singh Evening has out done itself in many prospects whether its placements or clubs or crowd or academia or even scores.
- The college has outperformed itself by not just bringing in good number of companies but also almost all the students bagged jobs, changing my mindset over capabilities of the college that everyone questioned. Companies- Delloitte, Zomato, fnp, etc.
- The crowd is1 of the best parts of it, very intellect, helping, studious to be precise. No ragging anywhere near students, Clubs and Socs have done events at a much success point like never before. The teachers are very sweet, calm and understanding.
Dislikes
- 1st thing that comes to my mind is the living facility. the college has no hostel facilities whatsoever, and so those arriving at last have no good economical option to afford good place. There are flats nearby but one is to pay a lot in it to afford
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally come from commerce background pursuing bcom hons. since it offers a variety of career options to the candidates for choosing one. Bhagat Singh Evening College is one of the best colleges for it and do gives justice to the stundents by bringing in a whole lot of opportunities. The exams are conducted very smoothly and we get plenty of time to prepare for it overall.
Placement Experience
Placements had played a best role this year, from bringing in best companies like- Deloitte, Zomato, fnp, etc. to placing almost the entire 3rd year students into that. People always brainwashed me that "loose your hopes here no one gets placed" but college proved its capabilities to everyone. I feel like i'm in safe hands. The average package went about 6.5 lpa, actually pretty decent one. The college's placement cell works wonders where they from time to time bring in internship opportunities. They even organised an internship fair last year "Talantofair". And since I also plan into getting placement, I feel like it wont be difficult here for me to do so.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee usually vary year to year like when i enrolled, i had to pay some 15,500 Rs. for it and this year it might be different, anyway it is such a less amt. that too in a prestigious university. IN a private college for the same course one has to pay about a lakh per year, such a bad luck. The fee usually stays around with minor add or subtracts. College offers good internship opportunities with LOR and stipend, i know my friends have earned about 10k, 20K, 30k in a single internship. College also runs financial aid for students from time to time.
Campus Life
The college is just a comfort for anyone. I mean who'd not wanna wake up late, do all chores and then go to college and attend all classes? I definitely would. It has all sorts of culbs and societies from finance to drama, marketing to singing and dancing though as colleges are seperate so are the clubs of it. There is outdoor sports facility including 2 grounds and equipments and indoor sports room. Societies really sharpens anybody's brain line you get to draw out ideas, work on them, make it a success, daily interaction with the seniors so helping, its all huge and fun. Fests are also organised i the college, you drees up good and enjoy the sceneries the college has created for you.
Admission
One can take admission in this college by writing CUET exam and scoring certain marks for it. The application process was long and thorough. Select a cource, fill credentials, write CUET, and score good marks then prepare the preference list rightly and you'll get college based on your marks. Everything will be made available on the CSAS portal and University's website. If you've a sc/st/ews/obc, background top tier colleges won't be tough for you to get into with average marks. Exams aren't too difficult. They are conducted very smoothly.
Faculty
The faculty is one of the most brilliant of all. They are all very highly qualified and come from a good professional background. Some are the alumni of Shri Ram College, NSUT, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and even IIT Bombay. They do so much for the societies also, for it to grow. The best thing is they never question anybody on their dressing or anything. They are all very understanding and cool with the students. I personally have made friends with one of my teachers and we interact often.
