Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum in Political Science consisted of Introduction to Political Theory, Public Administration, Political Ideology, Comparitive Government to name a few. It introduced us to several real world concepts and how politics influences the mahinery of every common human aspect.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees in Calcutta University back in 1999 was quite less and the entire course fees was about Rs400. Fees hike was extremely rare. The college provided scholarships to ranked students who scored well in the semester exams. There was no such campus placements but the courses opened several gates for higher education.
Campus Life
The campus life was very enjoyable and friendly. Library had every essential book required for the course. Classrooms were basic and ventilated. There were social groups for literature, filmmaking, art, environment and so on for students to participate.
Admission
The admission was entirely on the basis of marks of 10+2 board exams. Each semester lasted for 6 months and exams were held twice: Internal Exams and Final Semester Exams. The difficulty of exams varied from moderate to difficult for Hons paper.
Faculty
The faculty members were well qualified and experienced in their respective fields. The learning experience was impactful and has helped me a lot in my career. Furthermore, the faculty-to-student ratio was pretty good in my course. There was regular interactions and both way communication between student and teachers.
