Likes

The lecture theatres and laboratory are fantastic. Well maintained and clean. Lab infrastructure and campus amenities are very good
The cultural and sports culture of CNMC is better than any college in Eastern India. We have well regulated music club, drama club, dance club
The Annual cultural Fest AGON is the biggest med fest in eastern India. One should really experience agon atleast once in a lifetime. Ingineum the academic fest of CNMC is also a really good experience

Dislikes

College have no own big grounds. We have two small grounds but they are too small to play long cricket
There are no separate rooms for Music club or dance club or even drama club
Reading room is locked at 8pm on weekdays and 2pm on Saturday. It would have been better if it was open 24x7

Course Curriculum Overview

MBBS is the stepping stone to become a doctor. Our course is really relevant in terms of practical aspect. We are taken to hospitals and posted in the wards and OPDs so that we can learn things and get trained from professional doctors of your college. The hands on training and experience we get in the hospital is something that prepares us before becoming an actual doc.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 9117 per year

Internships Opportunities

We have to attend a compulsory internship for a year where you get pain for 29-30k every month. This is very good opportunity for students to earn as an intern before actually becoming a proper MBBS passed doctor

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees is around 40,500 and get have to do a compulsory internship for 1 year where we get paid around 28-30k per month. This is a compulsory internship and everyone has to complete it. After MBBS you can get placed in your own college itself for 1 year as a house staff where you'll get paid for around 45k per month

Campus Life

Annual Fest AGON is held every year around September end which is the biggest med fest of eastern India Ingineum is the Academic fest of Calcutta National medical College which is held every year around August end The library has wide access of books and journals. Each student must have an library card to issue any book. Classrooms are full AC and proper projector and screen for presentation are available Sports culture is really good in Calcutta National medical College. We have our college cricket and football teams which takes part in various events. Drama club - Playtlet Music club - Chorda Tympani Dance club - Soleus These club takes part in various competitions and fest and has won several competition

Admission

As per 2022, you need to score atleast 617/720 in neet 2022 for UR Students. For SC Candidates it's around 522/720 For OBC candidates it's around 610/720 For admission, it's all from the website of west bengal medical council where all procedures and information has been provided

Faculty

The faculties are really good. We have good lecture theatre and laboratory. We do have our lecture classes regularly. We are divided into 3 groups when it comes to practical classes according to our roll number, so that every student gets equal attention facilities to learn things.

Our course of or 5 years .After graduation a student can either join any private hospital or government hospital. Some students also opt. for Post graduation so that their income can increase.

The hostel is not good for living,the food and environment is not clean. Best medical College in west bengal

I choose this college because this was the best college I was getting with my NEET rank for sure. The college is located in the heart of Kolkata. All modes of transport are available. The college is of good reputation for teaching the students. The hospital is a large tertiary care hospital that handles more than 1000 patients daily. Foods are best in Kolkata here. Your query on CNMC can solve this

I also applied Nilratan sirkar Medical college, PG hospital and R.G. Kar medical college and hospital. Then I got confirmed admission from R.G.Kar and CNMC. However I decided to study in CNMC. Because my relative studies in this college and also it is better than R.G. Kar . The transport is good here in CNMC as it is situated in central Kolkata. The college ground is comparatively more bigger and good in CNMC. I got rejection from PG as I didn't make it in Cut off marks. In admission process at first one have to crack neet exam and getting good marks (nowadays one should get 650 above marks)is make them to get admission in selective medical colleges through counselling.
