I choose this course because of my passion for becoming doctor and came through entrance exam and chose this college as it has great alumni with great doctors over the globe. The frequency of exams are quite high -3 semesters and one annual professional exam in one year so it is quite tiring every other semester. For improvement i should say there should be videos made instead of ppt on projector as through videos we can grasp the content faster.

Internship is done in our hospital or nearby hospitals in kolkata according to the government decided hospitals. Stipend is 30000 per month Every other month we have to shift to another ward for experience of each department.

This is government college so the tution fee is quite low making it 45000 for the 5and a half year course. So i would say the complete cost just includes the heavy chunk in mesical books ans personal needs eatimating around to be -1. 5-2 lakhs per year. There are many scholarship such as vivekananda scholarship gives 5000 per month. SVMCM scholarship by west bengal government. I am in first year so we are not allowes to go on medical camps, from second year we will be allowed

There is one major fest for four days- agon. September One academic fest - ingenium for four days (august - September) Other functions involve festivals and freshers party, convocation party. Library has all kinds of medical books, articles, thesis pages All rooms are air conditioned, one peojector, two tvs All kinds of sports -football, badminton, table tennis, cricket, chess There are all clubs under the Union

I have not availed any reservation so here the cutoff marks in 2023 for unreserved was 641 and rank around 9.5 k. Eligibility is age should be above 16 years and subject in class 12th should be physics, chemistry, biology. All the process of admission are done by nta and just the submission of papers are to be done in the students section of college

There are many faculties for a single subject, so every other chapters are taught by different professors. During practical classes 25-35 students are assigned to one professor making it easier for practicals. Assistant professors are also there to guide us. The lab handling staffs also guide us handling the instruments. Every other professors hold a post graduate degree too, and most often we interact with our professors through whatsapp and at any time of the day, its super easy.
