Likes
- The patient load is quite large so if you are looking for patient exposure its a good option
- You Can work with the lower strata of the society
- if you are somone who is not a fan of cities and pollution this is a good option ad the campus is located at a very remote area with very low pollution and extremly nature friendly. The place is green with good view and climate. There are hills
Dislikes
- the third thing is the biggest disadvantage the nearest city is 37km away. so access to malls etc is hard
- The infrastructure is very poor. Its the first priv medical college in kerala so ithe hostel rooms etc are poor
- hostel curfew 7pm. but u can always jump outs its okay.
Course Curriculum Overview
Its mbbs. The curriculum is really really hard and its obvious. But the myth that medical students cant have fun can be broken. First year is difficult if u fail then ull have to drop a year and will be able to give the exams only next year so u have to make sure you study but still me and my friends weree able to squeeze in outings parties trips to goa bglr etc. Its all about the perspective you can choose to have fun in any circumstance
Fees and Financial Aid
Okay So actually the course fee per annum is 6.5 lakhs but after other miscallenous fees it actually crossed beyond 7lakh per annum. Its actually at the high end but self financing colleges for mbbs are all that. Compared to other priv medical colleges in india Ill say you can choose this as its lesser compared to the rest. There are fisherman scholarships where all you need to py is 60k per annum. Other scholarships for obc and economically backward sections are also available.
Campus Life
Clubs etc depends on the college union. Our college has a union with representatives mostly from 3rd year and they actively conduct events in sports culturals dance college day etc. So you can join any club like oratory dance singing also sports there are groups for basketball volleyball football etc also games like chess carroms have competions and prizes.
Admission
My neet score was 546 in 2022. Here there is christian quota so christians need a very leaser score compared to other religions. without Any reservations youll need more that 530 to get a seat. If you are entering through all india quota that is if you are not from kerala youll need to score more like close to 570
Faculty
The faculty are all okay. But as medical students what u need is self learning and that clear. so it doesnt matter. in first year the cadavers are less here. the class strength is 150. Other than the cadaver issue its all good. For second year its smooth sailing. The postings all go fine as there are enough patients.
