MY EXPERIENCE AT SHIV NADAR UNIVERSITY IS NOW YOURS

They teach us conventional and new mechanical syllabus like from material science and manufacturing science to mechatronics, robotics, hydrogen fuel cells. The curriculum is really tough and you need to work really hard to even score decent marks as most of the courses are absolute and not relative.

Our career development center keeps us updated on available internships and we also have on campus jobs that pay's decently like you can earn 2000 per month with ocj's, and still many companies like microsoft, goldman sachs hires interns from here and our cdc does really hardwork to train us to get these internships and crack their tests

As far as i know placement is decent in our college the career development center(CDC) Prepaires us for the interviews and helps us to make our resumes and also most of the batch of 2024 was placed including mechanical and civil department.

At first we were told that our fee will not be more than 4.5 lackhs and in the first year they took somewhere 5.5 lackhs in the name of some security deposits and other expenses but now they have also forced us to take single rooms because they had really less double rooms and and from the first year i am paying more than 5.5 lakhs and now i am in 3rd year

Campus life is really rich here events keep on happening trhoughout the year diffrent club fests and annual club fest breeze involves sudent participation as from sposcership to decoration everything is handeled by students, There are more than 30 clubs like robotics, maths sosciety, economics sosciety,etc and as everyone stays in hostels it is really good for socialisation and food is also really good here so there is no problem at all here, calassrooms are big with projectors installed in each and every class and air conditioning in each class, huge central library which provides you with almost everybook you want with diffrent cafes and food joints throughout the campus the life here is really good.

Hostel are really good and hygienic, each floor is cleaned everyday there are sweepers that you can call everyday to get your room cleaned, even if there is something wrong with any stuff in your room in middle of the night you can get it done at that moment and there are three huge dining halls in our campus which serves really good food, and in dining hall 1 you get alacart, and evening snacks like samosa, maggi, pasta,much more and everything delicious so i am sure that you are not gonna miss your homes food that much because they serve both north and south indian food but afteralll thay are mess you are gonna miss your home but its still better than most of the colleges, and they really take hygiene seriously.

Admission process was not easy at all they took an online snusat exam which was consist of aptitude, logical reasoning, physics, maths components. This process can be improved by improving that platform on which they were taking the exam and also if they start taking interviews they can definitely select better candidates for the branch because i have seen some really worthy candidates in mechanical branch thayt were not offered cs and some really bad candidates who were offered cs who should have not been even given admission in this university

All faculties are either schollars from foreign universities or iit graduates and are helpfull and very thorough abot what they teach, all courses have assignments and quizzes as a graded component so it helps us revise the syllabus. On the other hand curriculum is really tough and it is really hard to score good marks and some faculties dont even accept assignments with just one minute late submission
