Likes
- The faculty should be allowed to teach their own subjects.
- The campus is beautiful, it had gardens, canteens etc
- Infrastructure could be better. Desk should be replaced. New projectors should be installed
Dislikes
- Very few people attend classes to learn, many just come for the sake of attendance
- Classes are very irregular, it gets cancelled for no reason
- I didn't really like yhe exam evaluation procedure
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose political science because its interesting, knowledgeable and helps to gain awareness of the real world politics. Not only that political sciencd has become inter disciplinary, which gives us opportunities to learn about other fields in relation with political sciences.
Internships Opportunities
Very few internship opportunity. It's better to find it on your own. Most internships are unpaid. Best to start with a NGO internship. Other internships are not easy to get unless you have good connections. You can also apply for research project under your preferred supervisor
Placement Experience
After completion of your undergrad at Du, you can opt for masters, or look for jobs but this could be difficult. You can also work for ngos. You can work in private schools. But it's advisable to do a master's because after that the scope of jobs in this field widens. After master's you can apply for Net exam and become eligible for assistant professorship.
Fees and Financial Aid
Delhi university course fees are quite affordable, and they also provide scholarships and book grants to students coming from minority sections or social disadvantaged groups or any students facing financial issues.
Campus Life
Fests are the biggest reasons why most students attend DU. The fests are very lively, famous performers are invited. Societies are a big culture of DU. If you like to paint, dance, sing, write or even debate, you can audition and join one. There are also Ncc, Nss and sports societies. They are very cool too. Library has all the resources and materials you need. If you can't any book at the college library feel free to check out the main campus library
Admission
To take admission here, you have to be appeared in 12th boards and qualified cuet ug with the required scores given by the university. You will find forms at the university websites, they are vey upto dated. But you have to keep visiting their site frequently.
Faculty
All the faculty are highly qualified at our college. Many of them are Delhi University and JNU graduates. They are very talented and have quality knowledge of their subjects. But however, there is a rumour that most faculty ate given to teach a subject they have not majored in. Which is why it makes them difficult to teach the subjects and students find it difficult to understand as well. But regardless, teachers are good, friendly and always eager to help.
