Likes

The college is very well decorated, in terms of the faculty the faculty is very good the teachers are very supportive
The political influence of the union is almost to none there is no such thing
There is no ragging, no violence the students are cooperative as well

Dislikes

The canteen food is not up to the mark, it should be better as compared to others
It will be a greater experience if the college introduces audio visual courses
The auditorium is a bit small as compared to the students ratio

I am pursuing B.com honours as it was my dream to complete this course and get a degree which will eventually help me in completing my MBA so that I can use the knowledge to cater my household business

Class Size: 85Course Fees: INR 3500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a few govt scholarships available and they provide internships as well in renowned companies for example Tech Mahindra, and other govt job trainings are also provided, they also arrange seminars as well

Campus Life

The college celebrates every occasion, there are various cultural programs that are held in the campus, the classes are under CCTV surveillance and the college also provides NCC and other sports are also practiced, like football cricket, and there are a student rub social groups as well

Admission

The entrance procedure was just like any other Calcutta University college only, the cutoff was 70% for commerce (B.com), and it was quite smooth, the exams dates are also scheduled by Calcutta University only, so there is no problem regarding that as well.

Faculty

The teachers are very interactive and there are 8 teachers for one course so for a class of 85 students 8 teachers is not too bad and it helps us in learning the concepts and understanding it in a better way

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Our college known for internship program

Placement Experience:

In our college generally students get placement before the last semester exam. Lot of companies visits our college and give many placement offer opportunities to the students. The highest package was 6 - 7 LPA and on average it generally ranging from 2 to 3 LPA. About 60 to 70 percent students gets a different types of offer from different companies who visited our college, my plan is also to get a good and a decent package from our College

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 5th semester. A few companies like TCS visit our college every year. The average package offered is around 100000 PA I want to go for higher studies after the degree but I want some real life work experience too.
