"Unveiling Techno India University: A student's perspective"

My course is Diploma in Computer science and engineering. From a small agr as I always wanted to study Engineering so it encouraged me to choose this course. At first I wanted to study B.Tech in CSE but class 12 percentage wasn't enough for it so I decided to study Diploma in CSE and after that later I'll study B.Tech. Diploma is also a very good course to study on, it is the pathway to study B. Tech later. The course includes the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Computer and Mechanics as well as Basic Electrical and Electronics engineering subjects which prepares for our day to day world if we study then properly. In each semester we have 3 internal exams and lab exams for each subject and at the end we have the End Semester Exam(ESA). The Internal exams are quite easy and everyone scores good in that exam but the ESA is quite tough and students have a hard time scoring good in the subjects in ESA. But if we study hard then we can easily score good in the ESA also.

In Diploma CSE the admission fees for 1st year students is 50000 and their course fee is 40000 rupees which they have to pay for each semester. This course is of 3 years in total which means there are 6 semesters. Semester fees for each semester is 40000 rupees which the students have to pay within the stipulated time or else a fine of 500 rupees will be taken from then. Students can get two scholarships over here but only if they have passed class 12 exams. First scholarship is the Nabanna scholarship which the students can get if they have scored 50-60% in their class 12 exams, this scholarship gives a total of 10000 rupees to the students. The second scholarship is the Swami Vivekananda scholarship which only those students can get who have scored 60% or more than that in their class 12 exams. That scholarship provides a total of 12000 rupees to the students which they can get from the college only. Employment opportunities are good in the campus as more than 90% students get job.

The campus is not just about studying, it is full of other extra curricular activities as well. For most of the year, sports, dance, music festivals and other fests continue to take place at the campus which doesn't make it a boring campus. The Techno Sahotsava is such a festival which was held in the month of April. In that festival, great personalities such as singers and dancers were brought to the university and a function was held for the entertainment of all the teachers and students. Sports competitions were held between the students of 1st,2nd and 3rd year. Sports such as Cricket, Football and Kabaddi were held inside the campus. We took part in Cricket and Football and won the Football tournament but unfortunately didn't win the Cricket tournament. Our college also participates in Inter college football tournaments and they were champion in 2022 Inter College tournament which was held in Salt Lake in Kolkata.

The admission process was normal. Students have to go with their parents and submit the admission fees then they get the money receipt which they shouldn't lose and keep it safely. Eligibility of the course is that the students have to pass and score well in their class 10 exams and class 12 exam marks won't affect this course. We can get the application form from the official website of the university and then come and visit the university and talk with the admission cell for more queries. I had to give the JEE mains exam for admission, you have to score at least more than 70 percent in that exam for eligibility in the course.

The faculty is well and good in terms of teaching and interaction with the students. Each faculty has one Head of the Department(HOD) and other teachers. The HOD usually teaches the final year students and keeps an account of the other teachers, how they are teaching or interacting with the students of the junior level. The faculty teachers help the students in studies and gives advice for exams. They mark the important points which the students need to study for exams. We, the students can approach and interact with the teachers anytime as they are available all the time. If the students have any difficulty in understanding the subject they can call the teachers or visit them with their problem anytime.
