Likes
- Campus- The campus of the college is widespread, with a lawn, assembly point, statue of the founder, pond with fishes and it is covered with greenery. It is big enough for conducting many functions and events. Access to library is also unlimited.
- Qualified Professors- The teachers in my department are highly qualified. Most of them are Phd degree holders. They are highly experienced from many government institutions like HAL, DRDO etc, so the learning experience is very good.
- Lab facilities- Especially for my branch, there are so many lab facilities, like machine shop lab, fluid mechanics lab, aerodynamics lab, rocket propulsion lab and design amd analysis lab. It really helps student for gaining Technical skills.
Dislikes
- Hostel- The hostel is not very student friendly. There are stringent rules which not give the student freedom to go outside the campus after 4pm.
- Placements- Comparatively the placements for my branch is lesser than CS, IS and DS branches.
Course Curriculum Overview
As a student under the Autonomous Institution, the curriculum of my course is decided based on the VTU curriculum. As it covers all the important topics, it also helps in many competitive examinations. So the curriculum is carefully set according to the exams.
Placement Experience
There are less placements for our branch compared to others. They do offer basic IT jobs for packages ranging from 3lacs to 4lacs. But the students are guided for other jobs through various tests aswell. Almost 40 to 50 percent of students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is actually very reasonable compared to other colleges, for the same course. Yes they do provide scholarships based on your competitive exams rank and 10th and 12th standard marks. They do consider caste based reservation seats too.
Campus Life
There is good campus life, considering the infrastructure, canteen, clubs, and fests conducted. It is a widespread campus having many seating arrangements. There are 2 fests held every year, one Technical and another cultural fest. There are also multiple clubs, like music, theatre, drama, direction and photography. There is also toastmasters and GSDC. So it is overall a good opportunity for all students.
Admission
The eligibility of the course is considered easy itself. There is a basic cutoff based on the rankings on exam scores. The exams are held once a year for the college admission. All the admission process can be done either online or offline. It is easily accessible too.
Faculty
Our faculty members, specifically our branch, are highly qualfied. All of them are double degree holders. Most of them also hold a Phd degree. They are also highly experienced in government institutions lile HAL and DRDO. They have good technical knowledge, also are very understanding to the students feelings.
