Remarks

All I can say is a bad college for engineering life. No enjoyment.

Entrance Preview

For the great infrastructure and name. This college has a 300-acre campus, but most of it is not accessible. So we could access 30 acres of land. And the college building is at a far location from the gate. So it's a good option for the students not to go out.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I had the option to choose from different courses but I chose mechanical engineering. My curriculum was given in a printed copy for every semester and I used to go through it for assessing the course details and subjects and teachers who were assigned for the same.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college didn't provide the internship. As this was a new college back then, they did not have the facility.

Placement Experience

1

The placement and job opportunities were promised when we were inducted by the college head. But we did not find any job placements going on till we reached our final year. But we did not lose our hope and we attended pool campus recruitment drives and some of us got placed there.

College Events

0.5

We had college fest cunducted by v t u as we had a big ground and big auditoriums. This was the only fest we saw in all of our college life. There was no ethnic day. No fashion show. No nothing. Our college life was boring. And top of that we had uniforms. Yes! You heard that right.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college was one of the top money making a machine. They used to charge us for everything. Our college hostel was the costliest hostel you will ever see. They used to charge 1 lack for a year per person. As the college was 50 km away from the main city we were supposed to travel to a college bus or stay in hostels. The bus fees were also not cheap.

Fees and Financial Aid

No such facility was provided by the college. We could claim a scholarship from the government but the college did not have any such facility.

Campus Life

4

As I mentioned there was no extracurricular activities conducted in the college and was boring college. The ratio was also not similar. No good looking girls in the campus. Only a select few. Ya I know, we were deprived of the beauty. Judge all you want.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities as i mentioned earlier was one of the costliest hostels you will ever seee. For the amount they used to charge the service was not upto the mark. So i found some rats in the hostel premises. And the food was not bad but not great either.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students were very helpful. They had a good relationship with the juniors. And they helped a lot in understanding the subjects easily.

Exam Structure

The exam was conducted very strictly. The exam was conducted by the college in a standard auditorium and in classrooms. So we had a good experience in that, we used to not copy in exams as the invigilation was strict. So malpractice was a strict no in this college.

Admission

I had to write cet exam of karnataka education board. In that i was awarded a particular rank according to my performance. And in the selection process we need to opt for a college and i chose this college. And after tht i had to go to the college to fulfill the procedures in the college and had to pay a college fee and other extra fees to get admitted.

Faculty

3

The faculty were well trained and were having a good grasp of the subject. But the management couldn't keep the lecturers as they were having financial issues. They were repeatedly changed for the same reason. That used to affect our studies. And they.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
