Likes

The environment and many such things to explore in every field
The faculty is really good the classes is regular and the schedule is strictly followed by each and every faculty.
You get better idea of education here, and individual personality improve through the different activities happened in college.

Dislikes

The attendance strictly followed but it's college it must be leveraged.
Over work while exams are coming, the teacher gave most of the work like assignment and all just before one month of exam.
The slow working process of administration it must be improved.

I love my course, the teaching staff easily elaborate the things which is in my country and this made students easier perspective of knowledge. If you are studying you get knowledge not forced information.

The internship opportunity in our college is on field which is little difficult for our sider who went home particular period of time. But it's really beneficial for students within station and have a great environment with known ones .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is really affordable to every middle class family and the campus is really good you can enjoy here like a real life college life and explore many things. Our college also provide scholarship opportunities who are not able to submit the fees and many schemes introduced for students.

Campus Life

The college life is really decent, a good faculty, great infrastructure and well managed societies, which helps to students to grow professionally and academically. You improve yourself through learning and feedback by seniors really helpful.

Admission

CUET is the common entrance exam for DU or any other Central University. This gave equal opportunity to every student all over the india and the eligibility criteria for English hons to have English as a language and Plus 3 domain as your entrance subject course.

Faculty

The faculty is really good , the teaching and non teaching staff is really good to students and even though very helpful. The regular interaction between students and teachers is help students to get regular information and updates about ourselves and college.

DSC is a decent college!

Placement Experience:

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Gargi : A home to a stranger

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
