What Students Say

Likes

The Infrastructure of the college is really good and there is good canteen too
Library is also very big and has facility to study upto 8 pm. Also digital library is available.

Dislikes

Doesn't let girl and boy sit together. Even in the canteen they sometimes set us apart.
Faculties are not so knowledgeable except for very few of them.
Too much strictness which is not necessary for engineering college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is basically good. Obviously it cannot directly teach us about how industries work and all the skills required for getting the jobs. But MVJ College of Engineering has made internships and projects mandatory to complete. Also the college has 1 week placement training every semester for us to improve our skills and placement chances.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees for CS related courses are more compared to other courses like Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Civil, etc. The fee structure is available on the official website of MVJCE. There is scholarship for management students which has strong criteria like more than previous year score and attendance criteria is also very tough.

Campus Life

MVJ College of Engineering have only few fests and events and that also are not that great. No freshers, no annual fest. Faculties doesn't allow for extra curricular activities and also the attendance criteria 85%, so you can't participate in much activities.

Admission

I am a management student. Admission through management is very easy. No need to go to college for admission , all the process can be done remotely by contacting the admission cell of the college.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is very high. All facilities are approachable and helpful towards students' problems. Some facilities are even helpful towards personal problems. Faculties always tries to make everyone student study hard and if they don't listen to them they will take strict actions. But overall the faculties are good.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester we will get the placement assist .almost all mnc and top companies in india visits the college , namely cognizant ,oracle, tcs , infosys , capgemini , accenture , mu sigma , and many others along with startups . few companies offers direct fte roles, whereas few take students as interns and provide fte(full time employment).package will be between 3 to 36 lpa. rules during college placement drive are there will be 3 buckets , less than 7 lpa bucket 1 , 7-15 lpa bucket-2, above 15lpa bucket -3 , if a student gets any offer in specified bucket then he/she wont be eligible to apply for companies withe the salary range of that bucket. They provide international placement opportunities also , specially the zenken company collaboration , helps to get japan companies placement assist.

Placement Experience:

Generally I pefferd this college because of the college's reputation in placments . Students generally get placed into company's in 7th sem . Generally companies like TATA, IBM, Infosys, Amazon , Wistron, Accenture, Xoriant, Hp etc . generally 800 + students gets offers . Highest package is around 30+ Lpa and avearge package is 7 Lpa .MY plan is to try for both placements and also Gate examination

A Journey Worth Remembering

When I was selecting an engineering college I applied to several reputed institutions in Karnataka including Dayananda Sagar College of engineering Acharya institute of technology CMR institute of technology but I couldn't make it due to slightly higher cutoff in CET. I finally choose MVJ college of engineering because of its location infrastructure academic environment and placement opportunities. Situated in Whitefield it's close to several IT companies which is better and increases internship and placement prospects. The campus is spacious clean and well equipped with modern labs and facilities the college also has good reputation under VTU for maintaining academic decipline and quality teaching.
