Review of my college

No, the college was overall good and I had a good experience there

I opted for IMI because being a North Indian (from Punjab) it was better for me to be in Greater Noida (as it was near) and also placement facilities were good. I used to travel back home easily during holidays unlike other colleges in (south). where I might have to spend a lot to travel back home.

It was a 2-semester course with 2examinations held in a year time. I had to clear both of the examinations with at least 50% of marks. While training was also nice to get good physique and body shape to be onboard in the future. There used to be a good atmosphere in the accommodation to study n all

no college doesn't provide internships or anything. but we were already sponsored by the shipping companies

very good. Companies used to come and employ many of the cadets here and most of the cadets were already sponsored so the placement opportunities were very good and there were so many opportunities to be at sea for the Freshers there were many links to the companies with the institute.

there used to be many events celebrated there like Independence Day celebrations and other important days were also celebrated. there used to be a world maritime day celebrated at the India gate Delhi where we used to perform a march pass in the early morning

the fee structure is feasible that is it was like 4-5 lakhs only for a year which included hostel facilities food facility admission and other important expenses and stuff provided to the cadets by the institute. It was better than any other maritime College in India

no there were no scholarship or any loan facility provides to the cadets by the institute. we were already sponsored by the companies

the campus was entirely open and very well managed by the authorities and also take care of by the workers. labs were well managed and sports days were held also. we used to play games in the evening with wlfelloe cadets so it was a good experience being a cadet in this institute

hostel facilities were very good. well versed rooms. washrooms and all. mess facilities were great. good quality food was provided to the cadets and also drinking water was very well provided to the cadets. mess staff was also good and helping. canteen management was also good

Senior students were also very helpful and always taught us so much. they used to behave very well and made us good seniors also

Exams structure was nice and were held twice a year that is there were two semesters in a year. invigilator was separately called up for duty and was given duties to invigilate the cadets for the examinations. there used to oral practicals and Vivas also

I Cleared IMU CET test held in Chandigarh. where I ranked around 5k among 17k Indian candidates. it was an online test having no negative marking criteria. then I had to give interviews to get sponsorship from the shipping companies. then I was selected for this college

The faculty was very good and very helping always hardworking. they used to tell us their own shipping experience at sea and sharing their memories at sea. they also helped us to developmentally for the sea. They used to be on time always to the institute
