Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

To be honest I choose BTech at Kaziranga University because they hold and teach the course very well prepared not only theoretically but also practically. I'm in my 4th year and yet I have no backlog in any of my subjects so this is how well the faculty is helping me in subjects that are hard.

Placement Experience

2.5

So from the final year which is 7th year placement is offered for students. Students can also try for off campus if they want. Companies like TCS, ibm visit for placements. For BTech and MBA students placement is 100 percentage. For me I'm planning to study for MBA

Fees and Financial Aid

So BTech fees are 55000 including the admission fee is 10000 and the hostel fee is 38000. There are also scholarships for students who have achieved 80 percentage in their HSSLC. Not only that but also for people who are state level sports person and also for disability people

Campus Life

4.5

One good thing about Kaziranga is the campus. It's really out of all the noisiest places. And it is really peaceful. There are also functions like Karyonix but sadly we didn't have this year. Kaziranga also hosts techbliz for students who are interested in technology and gives opportunities to learn and have a handful of experiences. They also host stalls for business students which help them as well as for others to enjoy and learn. The library is also well maintained with all the books allocated for the students with well-maintained ac and a good class environment. They also have NCC. Sports is Kaziranga Is another added bonus point. They also have different clubs like art and culture, soul, and more for all the interested students

Hostel Facilities

3

There are 2 seater with ac and non ac. There are also 3 seater and 4 seater. It really nice and peaceful. We also have clean lady who comes everyday to clean. The food is another problem I would say. It's really bad and I hope they will improve in the days to come. Otherwise all the rooms, and dinning halls are really clean and big. Wi-Fi is also really good. It is strict but in a good way

Admission

There are no exams to get into admission in Kaziranga university. You can visit the page of the university for the application forms. It is always first come first serve. But in my opinion it is always good to score a good marks in order to get into admission in any college which can bring a good path for scholarships and help you.

Faculty

4.5

From my perspective and from my department I would really rate them as 8/10 since most of them are really well experienced. Not only in teaching but also in interacting they make us so comfortable. I always look up to them and go up to them whenever I feel I'm not being able to catch up things and they never ignore but also help and support us in all ways.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum they will show you before admission is completely different what you will be getting. They will be covering things but not with a higher level. In a subject easy topics will be covered but when teacher find any topic difficult , it will not come in exam since everyone has to pass the exam. They can just follow the GATE exam curruculum and that would be enough for any students to outperform after engineering with real time lap teaching. There is semister exam only where you will have to give workshop and lab exam along with theory paper

Placement Experience:

Placements start from 7th semester (4th Year). Companies like Amazon, Legato, TCS, Synopsis, etc. visit for on campus placements. We have a very good placement ratio and average package. For CSE, the average package was 13 LPA and 92% students were placed. While for ECE, the average package was 8 LPA and 66% students were placed. I'm planning on gaining work experience for 2 years after my B.Tech and then pursue MS Or M.Tech from abroad.

I choosed because my CEE marks which was 92 at that time was not enough to get admission in govt engineering colleges and the OBC cut off was 120+. So, in Whole northeast Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology is the no 1 and the oldest private engineering college and I decided to take admission there.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is quite good, with several reputed companies like General Electric, Power Grid Corporation of India, Goldman Sachs, among others recruiting 94 percent of the students in the college. The placement takes place in three rounds, one testing one's aptitude, followed by an hour round, finally leading on to a technical round. Mock interview and job cracking sessions are organized regularly, both by the departments, and also the Training and Placement Cell, to prepare students for the interviews and examinations going forward. The Training and Placement Cell also provides internship opportunities at the end of third year for the students, based on their aptitude and abilities

Remarks:

I have mostly positive remarks about college except for the fact that the college is situated really far from mainstream north India. Train connectivity is not that strong to rest of country. But despite that the college is extremely good in the sense of learning, meeting new innovative minds, and of course placements and jobs.
