- Curriculum can be more improved for core branches.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Curriculum is relevant to per industry needs of today still after working for 2 years now I can see that there is a gap to be filled in the curriculum. The curriculum prepares us for jobs and makes us industry-ready. Being an Autonomous college there used to be frequent exams throughout the year.
Internships Opportunities
We got opportunities that were mostly unpaid. A few companies were there that gave stipends like Novatech, global logic, Capgemini, and cognizant. Mostly CS/IT students got internships for others got unpaid
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester, Students can start applying to placements if any company visits. During my time the Highest package was 10 LPA and the average was 4 LPA. Almost 70-80 percent of students get a place from all the branches. If one doesn't get placed he has to look after it by himself.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is financial assistance like category-wise fees for students. Also, scholarships who excel in exams. Internship support is not too extreme but full-time placement support is there. Overall to graduate from this college one needs close to 5 lakhs of total fees.
Campus Life
College life is good here. One can actively participate in multiple activities. There are many creative and technical clubs for collaboration among students. College Cultural and Technical Fest is really wonderful.
Admission
Admission is based on MHTCET and I got CAP-based admission in IT. All the formal procedures can be found on the internet easily. There are reservation benefits. Frequency is monthly for exams which is a good reason I think that students get attached to the curriculum.
Faculty
For each department in college, there is roughly a 10:100 ratio of faculty: students. Faculty have good experience of teaching but I have not seen anyone getting mentorship through faculty. Interaction with faculty is formal. Other than college curriculum they don't entertain.
