Likes

The college life is active and good, campus is eco-friendly and the arrangements are well
The amenities are given properly for the uses and consumption , the cleanliness is primary, and the shops and canteens are provided for every block
The facilities of libraries is given in every single block , and the central libraries are world class

Dislikes

The management and infrastructure of the C block
Overcrowdness at canteens which brings mismanagement
The timings faculties are bit strict which needed to be relieved

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of the college is different and unique than other colleges , as Chandigarh University focuses on the induvidual growth of the student by conducting varoius seminars , Hackathons and Fests the examinations are held three times in a semester , exams are called as "Mid Semester Test (MST) " and "End Sem Test (EST) "

Internships period is provided after the completion of the first year (2nd Sem) , called as internship and inustrial training month , where we get numerous opportunities for internship in the time period

Campus placements in the college is so hand full , the opportunities for students into enroll in the company interviews with maximum chances and offers in the university , the average placements of the university is around 8-9LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition Fee ( For BE-CSE) increases 15000/- , the fees for the per semester of the course is 120000 with living cost of max 20000 per month , scholarship is being applied the CUCET enterance exam , the criteria for the scholarship is to get upto 7.5 cgpa in every semester

Campus Life

There are various Fests and Hacathons are held by the college to hon the skills in every field , the CU-freshers party and CU-fest are the major fests in the college are held annually , theire are various hacathons and seminars held for the btech students and other course students

Admission

At my time , my admission process has been done thorugh online, i had applied for CUCET online and the documents were being uploaded online , i had to submit the 5000 for registeration fees which later adjusts in the fees , the eligibility of every course is almost above 60% in 12th with any stream

Faculty members are available enough for every section the ratio of faculty is 1:5 which is so effective, also the faculty members are so humble and light hearted , their teaching is so unique as if the student pays 100% attention towards the classes hours , the student is confidenet over the syllabus and understandings, they use multiple methods like Presentation , practical knoledges and approaches to students after every topic is cleared

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
