My love for chemistry and the eager to more know about the drugs and its action convinced me to choose pharmacy as a career. The study of pharmacy enhances healthcare delivery,supports public health initiatives ,and contributes to the advancement of medical science , ultimately improving quality of life and health outcomes for individuals and communities. Inclusion of skills like pharmacovigilence and medical coding in the laboratory practicals would help students in the long run. There are 3 sessional exams taken with a gap of approx. 45 days between them,end semester exams are conducted in 90-120 days from the day of commencement of the semester classes

There is no stipend provided by the companies. Students have to arrange their own funding for the summer internships and have to pitch to the company they are interested in by their own for attending the summer internship. This information is for the department of pharmaceutical sciences only. Other departments have their own respective ways.

There is no fee waiver scheme available for the decrement in fees. The total cost of the course including food ,education and other charges is approx 4 lakhs. For undergraduate first year students (fresher) there is a scholarship named ishan uday scholarship for north east people which provides 78k per year. Other scholarships also can be applied as mentioned in the NSP portal. Basically,there are no campus placements available for bpharma. The campus provides good placement opportunities for the department of MBA only.

Scientia is conducted by all the science departments of the campus. Generix is held by the department of the pharmaceutical sciences whereas commerce fest is held by the department of commerce. The department of MBA also have their own fest. All the cultures and festivals are celebrated widely by every student of the campus. There are clubs such as film club ,quiz club ,sports club , photography club conducting their respective activities in regular intervals.

Students just after passing class 12th can opt for this course. The student should have studied chemistry biology and physics in his 12th class. The application form is available in the assam University website itself. There is no application fees for the programs. The application dates can be known from the notification dashboard of the University website. There is reservation benefits for the OBC -NCL bearer and other minority castes as per seat reservation according to caste in central quota. Exams are taken at regular interval even before completion of the course in a hurry. There should be improvement in the field of examination branch

The faculty members at Assam University are highly qualified, with many holding advanced degrees such as PhDs. Faculty members employ a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, workshops, and practical sessions.
