Likes
- They provide both Summer and Winter Internship opportunities in both High court under Advocates and even under Judges too, and also under Supreme Court to gain practical legal knowledge as well
- Campus is full of greenery and is actually beautiful. Students can without any fear walk around the campus even during evening hours
- Campus organise Jashan and Youth fest every year to promote students to show their talent
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is way too much nasty. Classes are not at all airy and even tube lights doesn’t work properly. And fans, my goodness! They’re same as if there or not.
- Campus’s crowd is such a low tier. They wear unusual cloths and use harsh and abusive language
- Staff doesn’t even bother to take classes. Even uneducated teachers are hired here to teach subjects which they doesn’t even have any knowledge about.
Course Curriculum Overview
The semester's duration although is of 6 months but that is just to say. In fact the semester is of 4 months only. That too after every 2 months they organise exams. Firstly Mid sem and then End sem. In short there's only burden of studies on the students and they doesn't bother to prepare the students for future aspects. Also their only focus is on theoretical study and not on practical.
Internships Opportunities
One of the good things about this campus is, in my course my department provides internship opportunities to students to gain practical knowledge of the said field for the development of students. Even I did internship under AG office in my 3rd year. But the internships are without stipend
Fees and Financial Aid
Comparatively fee structure is reasonable as other universities providing for same course. The concept of scholarship program is quite weird as even creamy layer gets the scholarship by showing BC certificate or SC certificates. There doesn't exist any kind of placement opportunities for students. All you do while in this university is just come and attend the classes and to obtain degree without any job opportunity.
Campus Life
Overall I can say that my school life was way too good as compared to University life. Here the environment is quite boring. In the name extracurricular activities, campus provides few number of sports only. The infrastructure is way too bad and old. The benches are about to break and the rooms are less airy and no provision of proper lighting exists
Admission
Any 12th pass student can apply for 5 years BA.LLB course and even after graduation you can apply for 3 years LLB course. The application form is easily available in the official site of Guru Nanak Dev University. I got admission in 2021 batch in the first counselling in which the cut-off was 94%.
Faculty
Some teachers are quite good and teaches so well but at the same time there are so many teachers who doesn't even have any basic knowledge about the subject they are teaching. All they do is just read and interpret. Some faculty members are so rude towards students that when any student approaches them for any help, they just keep on lingering that.
