  • I didnt like the non-teaching staff as they are kind of strict and stiff.
  • The course this year was a bit confusing due to the new education policy amendments.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course has changed a lot from last year due to the NEP guidelines. The new curriculum provides cross-faculty minor courses through which we learn about not only our course but a completely different one too. It is a very new model of timetable and we are the experiment batch. Some suggestions I would give are to provide minors which are related to our subject so that it would be useful to us in future also providing better options in choosing electives. One positive I found is the honours programming which gives us the option to directly take Phd once done with our bachelors. Also the free exit system is also helpful.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee is comparatively low considering other colleges. It is a very much affordable price and of ther are students who find it difficult to pay for it then there is an option of financial aid for those students.

Campus Life :

The college is filled with fests and extracurricular activities. Every day now and then you will pop across a fest in this college. There are various student-run clubs and department-specific fests. The extracurricular committee is held on by the student council and has various sub-departments under it. You can apply to be heads, subheads or even as volunteers to any of these fests or clubs. One can join as much of fests as you want according to your time crunch. The annual fest of college is called Malhar which is one of the biggest college fest in Asia. It has various guests coming in every year like last year it was AP Dhillon. Sports and other activities are also provided. The gymkhana in the college gives you space for that part. Inter-department sports also take place between students. The library is very lively with centuries-old books to daily newspapers for your service.

Admission :

The admission process was through entrance. They calculated the marks on the basis of entrance cum 12th grade results. The cut off was based on 40%aggregate of emtrance marks+ 60% 12th marks. The entrance was not much hard with just basic subjects like general knowledge, English, critical thinking etc. You can apply for the entrance through the college website and write the exam in nearest center. The merit list will be out on various reservations like maharastra board, Christian minority, In house list, Special Category and General Category.

Faculty :

The faculty members are very well educated with great knowledge in their subject. They are very much friendly with students and are ready with any help and assistance of our needs. They provide hands on industry guidance and help us in all the doubts we face.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspects that influenced my decision to choose this course were hands-on practice, internships, and collaborations within the industry. The curriculum has prepared us well for real-life instances through assignments and other activities. One suggestion for improvement could be that the curriculum be more flexible in terms of online and offline learning both to cater to different students' schedules and internship interests. The difficulty level of our exams is fair and manageable making it good for all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a second year student in Bhavan's college in the BMM department. During my admissions after 12th , when i looked up for curriculum in Bhavan's a certain subjects like Mobile content creation and photography lured me as they are easily applicable in practical work plus they are in demand in todays media field. The current curriculum is 85% theoretical according to me as only one subject that is theatre studies is practical. Hence the application of current syllabus in real life is questionable. However , it can be useful if one opts for Post graduation. The area where the curriculum needs to improve is to add more practical knowledge and teaching methods should be more interactive. In context of frequency of exams, only 2 end sem exams plus internal exams for 2 credit subjects are conducted. The difficulty level can be rated as mediocre.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The fact that the curriculum included subjects like art of writing and political science and sociology made it attractive for me. It made me aware of the real world in terms, i had to stay informed with the current affairs of country and its political activities. It made me a better communicator on interpersonal and intrapersonal levels. The teaching method of the teachers didnt expose us or help us at all. My peers and seniors mostly helped me with great many things. The classes were regular at the start of the year but soon the lecturers began to quit and classes became irregular. The exams are the worst for someone who studies and witnesses delinquents cheat their way. Complaints made to the HOD was literally laughed at by the head of the department.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects and curriculum are well structured but it depends on the teachers how they make it to students. The most projects are really great and prepares you for the actual industry but on the other hand you'll also get basic and traditional projects like essay and PPTs from some teachers. Only few teachers make the subjects sound sane when on the other hand other teachers are just reading it out loud from the Pdfs. Biggest Pro is that all of your projects get individual marking and reviews about them for improvement. The frequency of Exam is decent and they are Intermediate level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to opt for the BMM course because many writers, directors, actors and ad experts and artists have studied in Khalsa College. The curriculum prepares you for real world applications by not only teaching within the portion but also outside the portion. Various recreational activities take place at the college. Areas for improvement would be to decrease the over importance of giving attention to the attendance and project submission. It's college not school the teachers soften a little and try to give students the freedom of exploring other things too. The frequency and timings if the exams are usually the same as ither colleges. There are 6 semesters carried out in three years which are 2 or 3 hours long.

Placement Experience:

Everyone who is studying at UPG is eligible for campus placements. They provide internship and job offers too. The highest package I think was 17 lakhs and the average is around 8 lakhs which is quite good for a fresher. However, many students don't sit for the placements as they go for higher studies.
