Likes

I like college life beache and many more things. In my college there is good senior junior relationship.
Their is tech fest called engineer and cultural fest called incident.
College environment is decent there is healthy competition in academics

Dislikes

I hate mostly exam dates. There is usually no gaps between tough subject exams.
There is many group like telgu Tamil, north south people.
College curriculum is tough and hectic. prof don't give you marks easily.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is relevant. There are some courses which relevency is more and some courses relevancy are less. The course curriculum is very comprehensive as well. Every couress in Nit K taught very deep and well.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is not so much like in college fees this is standard per semester fees like other nits. The complete cost of your degree is somewhere 8 lahks for 4 year degree. There are a lot of scholarships like Nap, income-based tuition fee reimbursement, sc st scholarship. Scholarship for girls merit cum scholarship etc. I don't have any scholarship right now but I have applied for a merit cum means scholarship

Campus Life

Tech fest name engineer specially held in month of Oct.Cultural fest held on Feb or March. Their are two library with all your needs. You can access books through your mobile app also. In our classroom there is projected attached with board decent bench, fan etc. Their is fresher cup, branchwise cup inter nit And many more sports activities are there. There are almost 7-8 clubs for everything tech club, web dev club, drama,music and many more clubs.

Admission

For Btech you have to pass class 12 and appear for jee main and based on the cut-off you will be eligible for admission you have to score atleast 98 percentile if you are a general category student. There are reservations based on caste. SC ST and obc have low cutoff as compared to general students. The admissions process is through josaa and csab counselling. You have to take 4 exams per semester one for test 1, mid sem, test 2 and end sem atleast.

Faculty

Most of our college professor specially senior proffesor are researchers.The faculty to student ratio is good. The faculty take care their subject very well. Prof taught their subject in effective manner and they set their papers like that if someone is not prepared well their are going to tough for them. We can directly reach our prof and can ask for our doubt.

Placement Experience:

Placements aren't guaranteed and if i work hard and hard which is of course a real thing for anyone to be placed somewhere better..where we can work better. Since our college provides less Placements we got to study hard to be among the ones in the very less ones.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Though i needed cse with cybersecurity but i didnt get it so i went with Robotics and ai. In first year they have many subjects of all course which are basic and fundamentals of all branches Some are good in real world application They should add more practical stuff then theories We have 1 to 1½ month gap betwen internals and some 10 days gap between 2nd internal and sem difficult level varies every year

Think more than Twice

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a tech-enthusiast and chip designing is something i have been keen to know about and hence i went in for ECE Course. The curriculum is just same as the other engineering colleges. Detailed enough to pass the semester end exams. Teaching methods and the equipments need to be changed. Its high time. While other colleges are using well designed new technologies for lab experiments, ours is still stuck on the old methods which is very frustrating as we dont receive accurate results that affects our performance.

PES has very good placement opportunities. Placements start from the 7th semester. Many multi-national companies come for campus recruitment. The highest package offered is 1.5 crore. The average package is around 9 to 11 lpa.

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

After GATE exam, I applied to almost all top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut etc during CCMT counselling . I had also applied in IIT Dhanbad in COAP counselling. I got IIT Dhanbad in 8th round. I spoke to my coaching Sir, he had advised me to go for top 3 NITs rather than IIT Dhanbad. Since these three NITs are well established and offer better placement opportunities as compared to IIT Dhanbad which is relatively a new IIT. One needs to qualify GATE exam to get a shot at taking admission in IITs/NITs. Once you qualify the GATE exam you can then look at specific colleges cutoff for admission. I got NIT Surathkal in special round 1 which was held after 3 regular rounds. I preferred NIT Surathkal as compared to other NITs since its considered in top 3 NITs and also it's near my home as compared to NIT Trichy....Read More

LIFE AT NITK

I had applied for other IITs & NITs with different branches like IIT GUWAHATI and IIT BHU ,IIT ROORKEE,NIT TRICHY as i wasn't able to clear the cutoff according to their requirements i got NITK SURATHKAL which was the best that i got i choosed the other colleges because of their higher placement records more average salary packages and the most OG thing is that i wanted the IITian tag but i had also got a seat allocated in IIT BHU in metallurgy but i didnt wanted to take it and finally i chose NITK SURAATHKAL because it near to my hometown Banglore and the weather is very good there it has a privatre beach along with a light house many places to visit around NITK SURATHKAL mainly a very big campus of aroung 300 acres and multiple number of sports opportunities it has 2 gym .
