  • The campus of the college is small although construction work is going on. Students are bored on their free time since the campus is small

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was a student of B.A. (Economics Honours), i was very much interested in business models and management which made me to opt for this course. Since my college was affiliated to guwahati university now (Autonomous) our course was designed in such a way that the learnings become very practical and helps as a basic foundation for economics in every competitive exam. It was a CBCS based three year course consisting of six semesters, Each semester was of 6 months and exams were held after the end of every semester. I would suggest to add some practical classes to this course. Thank you!

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fees were very minimal since it's a government college. The admission fees was around 5600 which is normal in every government colleges and the tuition fees needs to be paid after the end of two semester that is after a year which was around 3800, there during were no such hikes during my time of admission. The overall cost for my education was approximately around 24000 including admission, tuition and exam fees and other compulsory charges. There were no scholarships provided by the college authority although there were Government Scholarships like ishan uday and category based scholarship.

Campus Life :

There are no such mega annual or technical festivals but a college week is held every year where all students can participate and various sports, music, dance, modeling competitions are conducted. The college has a library that has decent numbers of books and journals, newspapers. You can access the library anytime at the working hours the library is really peaceful for reading with a supportive staff, you can also rent books from the library. There are self established social groups of the students which you can join. You can also join the NCC or NSS. The class are equipped with modern smart board for visual representation and interactive sessions.

Admission :

The minimum eligibility for my course was 10+2 on any stream. The cutoff for admission is not fixed it depends on the number of student applying and seats available and also various other factors. The application for admission was conducted through online mode based on 12th-grade final result. From the next year, students need to appear for the cuet exam and admission will be done given based on cuet marks. The admission process is also online which is very convenient for the students. There are reservation benefits if you belong to a particular category.

Faculty :

I was a student of Economics, the teacher were really very helpful in every manner and we can approach them at any time inside or outside college. The faculty to student ratio is also good since there were 5 teachers in our department and the number of students were 40 so, 8 students per teacher. A mentor group was also created for students against each individual teacher there were 8 members, the purpose of this mentor group was not only to help in their studies

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose philosophy as my major course as I want to learn about the things we experienced and the way they are the curriculum prepares me well enough to overcome in my day-to-day life I haven't faced any need for improvement in the teaching method. Exams were indeed a difficult task as a student, we hardly had a week to prepare ourselves for the examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

history is interlinked with all subjects. It describes the social formation, decision and mistakes that shapes the world. it gives moral values and mistakes that shouldn't be carried out again. The subject is very interesting and should be considered once.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose BA because of peer pressure, but it wasn't so bad because you can go in any direction. Real world application isn't a thing of the course. But it can help you if you want to study further. Classes have digital boards, that's a plus. Each semester consists of 1 sessional exam and 1 final exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is of 3 year long duration. There's a total of 14 papers and each semester we get specific papers according to our sem ( ex: sociology of religion, sociology of gender, kingship, stratification, etc.) + we have a Generic subject. With generic in every semester we had a compulsory subject with our honors and Generic, indeed it was something new that we learned.

Course Curriculum Overview:

About the course curriculum, I still wonder why they have to put science subjects on the course curriculum of arts students. They would say it's a basic course but it is definitely not. Those arts students came there to learn their main subjects. I think it is unnecessary to put sc subjects there plus it is not basic. Otherwise the main subjects' curriculum is pretty well organised and planned.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like the subject english that is why I chose this course, I'm studying ba in English and i will do post graduation in also english, but in our department student teacher relationship is not good enough, I can't communicate with my department's professor as much. The other problem is last year we gave 3 semesters exams together in a year which should be held after 6months, I would like to request the authorities to give concern about that.
