Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course curriculum is great and subjects that a college is allowed to teach is amaizng. The curriculum of Production and Industrial Engineering is by far the most advanced and in terms with the manufacturing industry requirement. The real world application of it can be taken into account. The projects included in the course are also kind of cool The exams are by far the most useless things becasue there is no effort from the faculty to make good questions, same old questions repeating over the years. The evaluation is based on how well connected you are with the teacher for boys and if you are a girl then you hit the jackpot as you will be given a full grade no matter how bad you are in terms of academics.

Internships Opportunities

5

The internships are part of the curriculum and students have to do a compulsary 16-24 week intership provided by the college. JP Morgan, McKinsey, Airbus, Samsung, JCB, Tata, Microsoft, Phonepe, Arcesium and many more comapnies visit PEC. The interships are a great way to transform a student into professional and this is done before 4th year itself and students come back to college with a better mindset.

Placement Experience

2.5

There are Internship Cycle (5th sem) and Placement cycle (6th and 7th Sem). usually 50percent of the students find internships quite easily and from big companies like JP MORGAN, Air Bus, McKinsey JCB, Tata, Microsoft, Phone pe and many other. The placements are majorly based on the PPO from these companies and more over some students are placed afterwards as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for a normal student as of 2024 admission is 1.04 lakh + one time admission fee. A total of 8 lakhs + 4 lakhs must be considered if you want hostle and mess as well. There are many schollarships for class toppers, girl child, reservation based schollarships and schollarships for Economically weaker sections is there.

Campus Life

4.5

The culture of the college is great. Right from the first day of orientation the juniors are connected with seniors, as the orientation is an event fully conducted by the students for the freshers. Students are the one who run the cultural clubs and technical societies. From the first year itself students are encouraged to participate in various events. PECFEST is again the biggest fest in north india and is coducted entirely by students.

Admission

The admission process was smooth and not very troublesome. THe application is open JOSAA and most of the formalities are clearly conveyed by the JOSAA Any other formality is coveyed to you over the email from the college. You need to have all the relevant documents and there will be no problem in the admissions.

Faculty

2

The faculty to student ratio is ok for few branches and pathetic for others, In an ideal scenario, each faculty must have 20 students to mentor but here it can lead upto 1-30 to 1-120. The professors are basic and have no outside knowledge other than the books they have (in some cases the books the have is the books they had* because now the book is gone and only pages of it are there). The faculty credentials and their teaching skills are questionalbel. And about having a word with a professors is quite easy as long as it is in their favor. Overall some professors are good and actuall intrested in teaching students but due to politics by other professors, they dont do anything that can actullay help students become professional.

Placement Experience:

MBA students have 2 internships, one being chemical core internship, which is done after 3 year for 2 months which is not shifted to last semester of 4th year for 6 months. Apart from this, there is a 2 month internship for MBA part. Earlier it was 2 months but now it is, also 6 months in the last semester. MBA students gets their internships done, both paid and unpaid included. But for placements, that story is not so good.

The placements are just average. Companies come everyday or everyweek. Placement drive keeps running all time. Packages above 10 LPA have very very high competition. Courses have everything to crack a good package off campus. But students aren't studious they don't know anything they just blame the university

For campus placement students can involve in 7th semester also many students got their PPOs in 6th semester as well. There are many reputed companies visited in PEC like Apple, Microsoft,Adobe,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Amazon etc.Highest package this year was around 58LPA on-campus while average of all branch turns into around 14.33LPA.Overall more than 50 percent students got placed in all batch while around 80 percent placed in CSE due to recession. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree or during my 4th year.
