  • The thing I dislike is parking space availability. Here vehicles are more as compared to area. Its like a traffic jam while entering college.
  • Another thing i would say is of junk food stalls outside the campus. Students here are addicted to junk food which leads to wastage of home made food.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Having a keen interest in mathematics I opted to persue my masters in it. The reason behind it was the vast demand of mathematics in todays growing world. Curriculum consists of computer knowledge which is been required today by many giant companies. The syllabus is moderate and difficulty level is high. After every 3 month in each sem, we have mid term exam and just a month later we are having End term exam. We are given sufficient time for preparations as well , so that students does not face any burden while studying.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total fees to pay is 80,000 rs per year for two years. I do not have to pay any extra money for any academic purpose . The only money we need is of non academic stuff . Our college also offers scholarship to students. Students can opt for scholarship externally as well but particularly talking about scholarship provided by college , we have Dr. Vishwanath Karad Scholarship, which is given on the basis of CBT score and hsc score. Capable student is benefitted as he gets 100% scholarship. If students score good marks and is awarded with scholarship, he does not have to pay any fees . Similarly if child stood second position, he gets 75% off his fees.

Campus Life :

Here the main fest is named as "Arohan" which is held in the month of January . Seasonaly traditional day, annual day of each building/ departments are conducted. Library is 5 storey building , with every floor has ample of books of every topic. If student wants to access GATE Exam books, he can access second floor. For journals ground floor etc. we are blessed with digital library as well. In classroom we have a big screen where teachers explain and write notes . Good lighting facilities as well. Here are vast number of groups like technos, sports club , environmental club etc these clubs brings up activities for students making him more creative.

Admission :

For masters in mathematics, a student must have completed his graduation with maths his one subject . Here hsc and ssc are not considered. Going to official website of MIT WPU , application form, application fees and important dates can be seen. Exams are conducted at regular interval. 3 months after starting of sem, student has to face mid term exam follwed by end term. Preparation time is sufficient . Area of improvement during admission process includes not proper management. Students of each stream are called on single day which leads to rush and incomplete work.

Faculty :

In my class it is 1:16 ratio ie. for 16 students there is 1 teacher each of respective subjects. Being a low strenght class faculty members easily connect with each student and make class more interactive . It helped me personally to clear my doubts and make my weaker topics stronger. Faculty members have a great command on their respective subject making more understandable to student. Every class has 1 mentor who takes the review of each activities occuring weekly with respect to the classes, test, activities etc and help us with some tips for betterment. I interact with my teachers regularly and they help me with my doubts whenever i go to them.

Placement Experience:

From third semester students are eligible for getting placements. Companies like Cairn India, SLB, Exonn, Halliburton etc come every year for placements. Highest package is around 24 lakhs and average is 13 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed is very less. After getting degree anyone can give competitive exams like gate for PSUs and GSI and if anybody is interested they can go for phds.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity is more of research based. They have dissertations for students at the end of of their academic year, and also provide mentors for the same. The syllabus is also not very vast and covers the most necessary topics.

The placements are actually very nice since if you study well, all of the students can be eligible for placements and there are various companies which visit on campus for hiring so there is always a chance of 100% placements here. The highest package goes upto 14 LPA.

Placement Experience:

By the end of sem3 itself, the postgraduates are deployed into interviews for certain internships. But if you are with good academic scores and knowledge you can even get directly placed. Every individual is given 3 chances by the college to get and crack the interview but if the student is not able to then he is guided to where to apply but mostly ICRI makes sure everyone is placed as the college proudly stays with its 100% placement tag line. As I told here there are varied background people here with different needs of roles, the highest package I have seen getting is 15L pa to the lowest of 3L pa which even depends upon the company to your broad spectrum of knowledge. To specify which companies come here for recruitment are sun pharma, Cipla, and many more there are all 20+ companies that come and hire the intellectuals. To specify about me I am planning to get a CRC post as a start for CRA in the future.
