Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum covers most of the topics which are necessary for application in today's world. For example, we have courses of computer vision, natural language processing and artificial intelligence in the AIML specialization

Internships Opportunities

Many companies visit our college for internships like Groww, Goldman Sachs,Salesforce etc. , there is also opportunity for international internship as SMS DataTech visits our campus every year for an intern role in Japan with stipend of 20k per month.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester here, around 150 companies visited our college this year and the percentage of students placed was around 50 due to the recession in tech industry. My plans are to land a job via on campus placement after the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees are around 1.25 lakh per year which is quite a huge amount but the fees has remained constant for the last 2 years. The complete cost of BTech here is around 15-16 Lakhs. You get on campus opportunities for internship with some good amount of stipend

Campus Life

There is an annual cultural fest naked Abhivyakti, you can participate in dance, music and other events in that fest. There is also an annual technical fest named Tantrafiesta which has hackathons , coding contests etc.. You can take book from library for max 1 week. There are AC and projectors in every classroom. We have facilities for cricket, TT, volleyball, basketball, etc. There are many clubs for various activites like coding, dancing, drama, music etc.

Hostel Facilities

You have options of 2 seater and 4 seater room , you get a table , a chair , acupboard and a bed in the room . The food quality in the mess is not that good but it is still edible except sometimes they serve half cooked rotis.. The annual fees for hostel is around 1.1k.

Hostel Fee: INR 110000 per year

Admission

You need around 25k rank in JEE Mains to be eligible for this college , you need less than 20k for core cse branch, you can find the application form and other forms on the iiitn website and you have to apply in it through JoSAA counselling

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is nearly 1:40 which is not that bad. Most of the faculties have done their graduation in less reputed colleges but some faculties are really good and helping, you can reach out to faculties whenever you want

Placement Experience:

The college provide placement drives for students, from 6th semester student get eligible for the placement drive if they have cleared all backlogs if any. There visited so many companies like Reliance ke locks and many which provides many placement drives and takes number of students and and that they take post aptitude test and like from 15 students the 10 are selected in the aptitude test and then there is an interview round in which out of 10 only two or three are selected as the Reliance come when the Reliance company came to the college for the placement right did took aptitude test for the chemical branch and as well as for the mechanical branch and that will talk almost 80 students for the aptitude test and which from the chemical branch only 40 students appearing for the aptitude test in the Reliance company in which only 15 students where selected for the second round that is for the interview round and that only 10 students where selected for the final with 10 students where finally selected to get the placement in the Reliance company is the one of the most renowned company for the placement. Likewise there in the college many companies visited for the chemical as well as for the many other branches that is from like we got many startup companies like Lakshmi Organics Laxmi Chemicals and many startup companies with gives placements to the freshers which get passed from their chemical the engineering degrees who have completed without any backlogs and have cleared all the semesters., the students get placement after all the basis of their project the interviews are held and they ask in that the project related questions the curriculum related questions and some behavioural questions. Are chemical branch are bad way in that almost there were 150 students in all that only 58 students where selected in the placement drives held at the placement but all the other should have to try outside the college for the placement som of them have to go abroad.

Placement Experience:

From 4th Semester , Students are placement Ready.They get internships and other opportunities upon the placement.The criteria is same as every college has Get all Backlogs cleared while passing the course and getting Graduated. No. of companies offer vary every Year - Capegemini , Mahindra Tata and other companies like Bajaj , infosys are the major placement companies. There are More which is not stated here as it varies every year.Highest Package is around 13-14 Lakhs Per Annum and the Average Package is around 3-4 Lakhs Per Annum. High number of packages are available. Placement Drives are also available for students (but you should clear everything first for all SEM's. Most common percentile or C.G.P.A is 9.7 or 9.8 (highest). My plans are clear to get focused to Job Security apply for Govt or PSU sectors.

YCCE College : My Experience

Placement Experience:

The placements are good in the YCCE college as compared to other colleges in Nagpur. From seventh semester the students are eligible for the campus reqruitments. The companies that offer placements in YCCE are Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, wipro, Persistent etc. The highest package is around 24 LPA and the average package is around 5 LPA. Around 70-80% students get placed every year in the college. My plans after getting the degree is to get a secure job and spent time with family.

From semester 6 students can sit for internship drives in college. Companies like BMC, Rapid7, TCS, Capgemini, Accenture ,Barclays visit our college, mostly the hire for SDE role and give traning to selected students. Highest package is 61 LPA and average is 7-8 LPA. Percentage of students getting placed vary each year. I am planning to sit for placement.

The placements in my college are pretty good considering the Fact that mostly its the Top 2000-3000 students from Maharashtra that make it to this college. The average Package offered in the college is Around 11LPA while the highest package last year was around 48LPA. The names of the Top companies that have recruited students from my college include Adobe, Amazon and Mastercard. The placement percentage from the past few years has been above 90%. My plans after getting the Degree is either to continue my Cricket Career as a Proffesional or to become a Commercial Pilot.

My views about IIIT-Nagpur

I majorly selected this collage and VNIT(metalurgy course ) as a backup, i got ther ECE-Iot in last CSAB round . VNIT have lots of better featurs like grounds , Events which a a lot better than iiitN. i kept the ECE-Iot above VNIT metalurgy thats why i got it , and i didnt fill any other things which i could have got.
