Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum includes both practical and ethical subjects. Subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Programme solving also include Laboratories with them, which makes them even more practical.Students are subjected to subjects like Human Values, Machines and Industrial, Idea Workshop, etc. which gather the students' interest.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I personally do not hold Internship related experience. But you may hear it from others that the internship opportunities are good and you can get them anywhere from 2nd year till the end of 7th sem. •You might have to do Internship during your Vacations and submit a copy of your certificate to the college once you are done.

Placement Experience

2.5

I personally feel that The Placements for Cream layer branches like CS and AI&ML are satisfactory. But for the lower branches, Off campus recruiters would have more to offer than the Recruiters that visit the college. Average package for all branches would somewhat be ~6 Lakhs, which is not very impressive. Most of the students aspire to get placed in PSUs so they end up preparing for Gate exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

Basically, this is a State Government managed University, so the academic fees is comparatively lower than those private institutions. Also for students who do not have very stable financial conditions or those who come under Reserved Categories, the fee is further lowered. Also, there are many Scholarship programs that are to be offered directly by the Government.

Campus Life

3

•My experience regarding Campus life has been somewhat Mid. There are enough shops for you to get all the requirements. Moreover The Campus area is Decently Big, but the absence of Gyms or Something similar On Campus makes me question the infrastructure. •The University has a pretty good and big Library, which is very well accessible on daily basis and even during nights. The library has an attached building that contains novels, Research Papers, Books and other required materials. •For Sports, there is a University Sports Complex that can be used by anyone wanting to play Volleyball,Basketball,Cricket, Badminton(Indoor),also the hockey ring is under construction. Overall in the sports aspect, Kurukshetra University is a good place to be at.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

•Hostels range from 1-2-3-Seater rooms mainly based upon your year of degree. •Most of the Hostel messes are Co-operative. Food Quality of all the messes is somewhat good. You get to eat 3 meals a day at a nominal rate of 100 Rupees per day. Special diets are available 2 days a week, on the other days you get a seasonal vegetable, Dal, Chapatis,Rice and an accompanying dessert. •Hostel Accomodations are cheap and provide all the basic facilities like wifi, geyser, clean cold drinking water.

Admission

For you to be eligible to study B.Tech/B.E from this college: •IN core branches (like CS,AI&ML,ECE,ECO,MECHANICAL) you'll have to give Jee Mains exam and based upon the CRL rank (for All India students) and State Merit list(Haryana) for Haryana Domicile holders, you'll be able to attend HSTES Counseling. The college also holds counsellings for vacant seats in stages after HSTES Counselings. •For Biotechnology, you can directly apply in the UIET and will be admitted according to your 12th Board Scores

Faculty

4

Faculty As a whole is good. Like other institutions there are Professors, Assistant Professors and non teaching staff. The faculty to student ratio is a decent one. Every Branch in Btech is having 2 sections, both of which have similar subjects but different Faculty. All of the teachers have a good approach towards their students and share good bond with the students. The Teachers are kind, humble and respond to doubts of the students pretty well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the curriculum 7/10. It prepared the students with the theoritical aspects but lacked to prepare them for the practical knowledge. It can be improved by focussing more on practical examination. Each semester there were 3 exams, out of which two were sessionals and one was main exam. The exam difficulty level was moderate but the marking was strict.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are decent but not extremely high like top engineering institutes. College has a placement cell that workds to connect student swith companies and prepeare them for the recruitment process. They orgarnize activities such as resume-building workshopsm aptituted training, mock interviews, soft-skills sessions to help students become more confidebt before palcements. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester of B.tech program. During this time, companies start visiting the campus for recruitment drives and placement interviews. before that student are encouraged to complete internships and improve their technical skills so they better prepared when placement season starts. some of the companies that have visited the campus in recent years include companies from the IT and service sector such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and a few smaller software and startup companies. These companies mainly hire students for roles like software developer, system engineer, technical support engineer, and trainee engineer. the highest package offered in recent year has been around 6-8 LPA, usually offered by a good tech company or startup. Average package is around 3-4 LPA. while the package are not extremely high, they still provide a good starting point for fresh graduates entering the IT industry. In terms of placement percentage around 30-40% of students who actively participate in placements manag to get placed through campus drives. some students also prefer to apply for jobs off-campus which can sometimes lead to better oppportunities depending on their skills and projects.

Placemts over here are okayish i would say , but the thing is that mostly govt exam aspirants come here so that they can study peacefully without thinking much about attendance an all , there are few clubs for tech enthusiast as well , and you will eventually know students who are into coding and stuff because they are very few . 7-8 Companies are visiting during this recession time , mostly service based , With the avg package of 5 lpa .
