Likes

The perks of being in a national instiute is that you great a good friends circle who really motivates you to study and work hard
NIT Agartala has a really hug campus . Its covered with greenery and its quite refreshing to be there
Hostels are really great specially RNT Hostel . It feels like a hotel

Dislikes

The location is bit far from main city . Its approximately 20kms from the main city
Faculties and professors are average . It mainly depends on the branch . Some branch have really great teachers whereas some branches donot have
Course curriculum is outdated and its the fault of overall education system

Course curriculum is bit outdated . but there is not fault of nit agartala as its a national institute and its followed bt the education system. We get enough time between mid term and end term but between the exams there are no breaks . Exams happens everyday . Midterm exams is of 20 marks. Endterm exam is of 50 marks . Rest 30 marks is of internal

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies that come for placements . Some of them are microsoft, paypal, ongc, flipkart. Students get oppurtunity in there 3rd year to get internship . Students who are selected as intern may also get pre placement offer if they perform well

Placement Experience

Placements oppurtunity is really great . Colleges offer a decent placement . Our branch has avg package of 8 lakhs per annum . famous recruiters are hcl, tcs, capegemi, vedanta, reliance, samsung,amdocs

Fees and Financial Aid

Generally in fees structuture , Tution fees is approximately 6000/sem for students if there family income is below 1 lakh, approximately 27000/sem if the family income is between 1 lakh to 8 lakh , approximately 79000/sem for students having family income more than 8 lakhs. For that you have to submit proper income certificate signed by reputed authorities. For SC/ST the fees are 6000 per semester

Campus Life

There are lots of club in this college to improve your communication skills, social skills.Campus is quite large with all the facilities available inside the campus .Clubs have lot of imoact in your life . So its a suggestion to join a clun once you get admitted in any college

Hostel Facilities

Hostel life is great . For boys there are two hostels i.e, aryabhatta and rnt . For girls there is only one hostel i.e, gargi. Food are provided 3 times i.e, breakfast , lunch and dinner. Food is above average quality . Obviously you cant expect 5 star quality food from a college hostel which takes only 24000 as fees per semester

Hostel Fee: INR 26000 per year

Admission

Admission is completely done form JEE MAINS exam. There are no other ways to get admit in BTech in this college. JEE Mains is bit tough competitive exam which you need to give . The class 12th percentage should be more than 75%

I can say about our branch . I am from chemical engineering and in our batch there are 69 students and faculties are 10 . Our branch teachers really put hell lot of efforts to teach us . They really work hard . they bring proper presentation slides and explain us and if we have any doubt they ask and tell us to clear the doubts . Teachers also help us during the practical classes . We can freely ask them if we have any doubt

All about NIT Agartala

Placement Experience:

As the NIRF ranking is going high year by year, companies are coming less and giving less preffer to NITA, Previous 2 years CSE, ME, CE students got 99% placement of avg. 8 LPA and one student got 1.2 cr off campus.

Eyeopener

Placement Experience:

From third year students are eligible for campus placement and internships. Many companies visit like Microsoft , CISCO , L&T , Mahindra etc . Highest package offered was 52lpa in tech and 20lpa in core and average package is 9lpa. Around 75% student get placed . My plan is to do M.tech by qualifying GATE exam .

Placement Experience:

Placements are good enough if you if your skills are much better than others if your CG is at least above them 8.5 then you will definitely get a good package so many companies comes to our college including Microsoft Google Amazon etc.. highest package of last year is 68 lpa

NIT Agartala is one of the most prettiest colleges in India!!

Placement Experience:

From Gaya Steel, to JK Tyres and companies involved in production were the ones who gave us placements. On and average production engineers at our college were paid around 4-5 lakhs a year. The lowest of all but still in top corporate houses as no start-ups are into production. This established names where the one who gave us placements.

JOURNEY TO NIT AGARTALA

Placement Experience:

The market is down these days so placement is not very good but yeah i would say its average not that bad. In 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements and company starts visit to campus. Sicne the placement season just started so the process is going on but yeah deollite, oracle, sigmoid, globallogic and many more came and offer jobs. The highest package on campus is nearly about 23lpa which is offered by British Petroleum and average package may vary from 10lpa to 14 lpa. Almost 96% student got placed every year rest are seeking for higher studies and appear in Gate exams. I will take job and start my corporate journey.

Life at NIT Agartala: A Perfect Blend Of Academics, Opportunitites, and Campus Vibes

Placement Experience:

Placments at NIT Agartala are strong, with students becoming eligible for campus recruitment from 7th semester. Top compines include Google,TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, L&T, Nvidia,Samsung,BEL and public sector units(PSUs). The highest package goes upto 50 LPA in software roles, while the average package ranges from 8-12 LPA for core and tech roles. Around 80-85% students secure placements, with higher percentage in CSE,ECE and core branches. After completing my B.Tech in ECE, I plan to explore opportunities in core electronics, Embedded systems, or software development, leveraging my academic background annd internship experiences.

My views on NIT-A

Placement Experience:

Placements records are pretty good and it's improving with time. The nirf ranking of nit Agartala among the engineering colleges has also reached 82 from 91 so it's a good walk . And there's no unemployment of the student has the potential.

Eyeopener

It is long journey of hard work how i get in this college and course . First I qualified JEE main but not got good rank so I got Biotech branch in NIT Agartala according to my rank . But I studied well in first year and scored a high CGPA and slided my branch to Mechanical . I have in all top NITs but not got a ceat there . Admission is only through JEE main rank . JOURNEY TO NIT AGARTALA

When I was applying to collleges, I appeared for JEE Mains and applied to other NITS and IIITS , My aim wwas to secure admission in reputed national institutes with good placements. I got admission in NIT Agartala(ECE Branch),which i chose over other colleges because of NIT brand value, national-level peer group, alumini network. I couldn't make it to the top tier NITS and IIITS as my JEE rank was slightly higher than their cutoff range. The competition is extremely tough and even a few marks can make huge difference in rank. The admission process is conducted through JoSAA/CSAB councelling based on score, For btech admission,JEE main is the accepted and most prefrred exam. The basic eligibilty is passing 10+2 wiht Physics ,Chemistry and Maths. Cutoff vary depending on category and branch.
