Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very diverse and the variety of topics under biotechnology that are taught to us are significantly very indulging. The syllabus includes real life experiences and the laboratory practicals help us feel mentallly ready for such research work further in our life. The frequency and timing of exams is also very well distributed and they stick to curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is provided in the 8th semester and students can choose to continue the internship on campus or off campus which is provided by the companies like cipla, tata, glenmark, lupin, and others. The stipend is around 10,000 to 15,000 per month and most of the work is laboratory and research work.
Placement Experience
After 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements depending upon their capabilities, staff recomendation, CGPA, and various other factors. Not everyone is provided with placements because 80% of the students prefer studying for masters. Companies like TCS, cipla, abott, and many more pharma companies visit here with average package of 4 lakh per annnum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The complete cost of my education is around 2,50,500 Rs per year, which i feel is very worthy for the quality of education provided to us including the classrooms and laboratories. They also provide us with internships on and off campus in the 8th semester.
Campus Life
The annual fest is SPECIES and the technical fest is TECHNOZAR. They are held once at the end of the academic year. There are variety of clubs and rotary clubs that students can take part in. Extracurricular activites are prioritised as well. The library and the reading room are very comfortable and they have a bit small range of books, but all the books are very helpful.
Admission
The admission process is relatively simple. The eligibility for the course here is that even the pcb students can avail for btech degree here. The cut off for MHT CET is 80 percentile, 12th board percentage is 70%. There weren't any reservation benefits here.
Faculty
the effectiveness and qualifications of the faculty members influcence the quality of education. The faculty to student ration being 1:10 ensures more personanlized attention. The faculty is very dedicated towards teaching providing us support. Most of the teachers are great.
