Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The main aspect that attracted to the course was it's present relevance. In this era the demand for data scientist has shooted very high. The curriculum is well balanced and castes you to meet industry standards. The college conducts lots of competitive programs like hackathons to develop our skills. The well fledged campus makes needed facilities to develop skills easily approachable to students. The college also provides the facilities to take specialization in field of study in form of honor's degree and it strengthens the degree for better placements and for higher studies. As i said earlier the curriculum is well balanced and if anything specific to be changed will be the timing of classes .The frequencies of semester exam is quite manageable and the hardness varies around medium to hard.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college provides good internship opportunities and also college provides on campus internships for students to participate. Mostly students opt for internships at startup companies because they have more works to learn from which results in developments of skills. Some students opt for internships at companies like TCS, Wipro, etc. Some internships are paid and some are unpaid ones.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements provided are pretty much good and around 95% of students get placed. The students are made eligible for placements from 6th semester. Mostly companies like TCS, Wipro and IBM, etc. comes for the placement drives. And mostly they provide between 5 to 10 lpa. The highest package offered was 35 lakhs per annum. My main priority will be getting a job and after working for 2 to 3 years I have plan to go for higher studies abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite manageable for students when compared to other institution it's affordable. The complete course fee will be around 80000 to one lakh for the complete course and if you pick the hostel services it will rise up. I am not well contained about tuition fees increase policy but as per my knowledge for the past 10 years or something there is no relevant increase in fees and if it happens it won't bring a headache to the students. The college provides good scholarship and the alumni organization also provide scholarships for students. The PTA cell also have scholarships for financially underlying students and also for academically bright students. The campus employment options are very low, but you can find a part time job outside campus easily

Campus Life

5

The campus life is always very live and engaging. The students are very friendly and are very cooperative. The college has lots of extra curricular activities like clubs sports, etc. to engage on. There are two main fests on college one is takshak its a kind of technical fest and other one is sanskriti which is more art celebrated both are the biggest fest in area and also students from other colleges come and participate in programs to display their skills. There are many student run clubs which brings a good impact on students

Admission

The admission process was not that much hectic and was quite manageable. The college provides admission either by qualifying keam(Kerala Engineering and Medical Exam)or LET(Lateral entry Exam).I secured an admission through LET which is an entrance exam conducted for students who have graduated from a college diploma. For securing a seat for my course the cut off was around 800 rank. The frequencies of exam is manageable and the difficulty level is moderate. I think if the procedures are further digitalized it will be much more easy to manage

Faculty

5

The faculty-to- student ratio is well balanced and the lectures are never suspended due to shortage of faculties. All the faculties hold good credentials and most of them have doctoral degree. They have hands on experience in respective field of studies. Teaching staffs are very cooperative and are always there to support students. They also strive to uplift students not only in academic but also as a good person for society. The lectures are very engaging and are easy to understand. Mostly there will be doubt clearing sessions after lectures and also we can meet them at their personal desks to clear any further doubts. They show no discrimination among students and all are considered equally. And also they try to give personal attention for each students.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
