Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The MBBS curriculum is really vast and due to the recent guidelines of CBME it is made interesting focusing more on practical's and patient interaction rather than only theory teaching. It would be much more better if there would be MCQ based tests regularly which would make it easier for our upcoming entrance exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government college the fee structure is not so high and it is affordable for most of us. For the college tuition fees it is around 40k per year and the hostel fees include 14 k per year. But if still there are financial problems for students they can avail scholarships. There are lot of scholarships available for the students by the college itself and of course provided by the government.

Campus Life

4

A lot of fests are organized in our college including the annual function which is generally conducted in the month June-August. Then we have many UG functions, inter medics every 3 year once, zero night celebrations. The library is really one of the best place in this college. It has a lot of books almost all books of medical science well equipped study rooms with fully air conditioned. Many sports facilities are available cricket football basketball volleyball kho-kho badminton table tennis, chess and many more. There are many societies available you can participate that include audio visual society, music ,dramatic ,sports society.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

You will be allotted your own hostel room after your admission. The hostel rooms are good although some facilities are lack. Food is good according the price we pay. You will be offered three times meal a day. The menu is changed each day and every day you get variety of meals.

Admission

To be eligible for this course you need to clear the NEET exam and general category you need have 635 plus marks and for reserved category it should be 550 plus marks. The application process is simple and the application fess is somewhat around 1000 rupees. The faculties are always a hand distance and always ready to help you out in the admission process. The NEET exam is conducted once every year.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty members are really good and well qualified here. They are much friendly and easily approachable. Only some teachers focus mainly on slide teaching only which I think is not so effective otherwise most of the faculties are well versed with knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well organized by the authorities based on the latest medical aspect of our society. Practical classes and regular postings in hospital helps in better understanding. Being the only hospital in nearby cities, our hospital provides us a good exposure to varity of cases. Our Associate proff and HODs also look upto them and help us gain more real world experience. The best aspect of this field or if I have to say Why have I chose it is to serve the society. Absence of well qualified doc at the times of emergency is one of the leading causes of mortality in developing countried like India. Being in this profession, I just want to help people around me.
